Scott Aspect 920

The 2021 "Aspect 920" model from Scott is a versatile and high-performance mountain bike, available for €999. The bike’s frame is from the Aspect 900 series and is made from 6061 custom butted tubing. It is fitted with a 5x141 mm Boost QR, a tapered head tube, a BB92 bottom bracket and internal cable routing. The frame also features a replaceable derailleur hanger, which makes maintenance easier. The bike’s total weight is 13 kg.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, combined with a 180 mm Shimano SM-RT10 CL brake disc at the front and a 160 mm Shimano SM-RT10 CL brake disc at the rear. The gear system is provided by the Shimano XT RD-M8000 SGS Shadow Type system with 20 speeds. The shift levers are Shimano Deore SL-M5100 R-plus models, which feature a 2-way release mechanism and a gear indicator. The front derailleur is a Shimano Deore FD-M5100 Side Swing with a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The Aspect 920’s suspension fork is a Suntour XCR32-RL-R with air suspension, an aluminium steerer tube and a remote lockout function. It offers 100 mm of travel, ensuring sufficient damping on uneven terrain. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-MT500-PA model measuring 41x92 mm. The crankset consists of the Shimano FC-M5100-B2 in a two-piece design and features chainrings with 36 and 26 teeth. The cassette is a Shimano CS-M5100-11 with a 11–42T range. The drivetrain is completed by a KMC X11 chain.

The handlebars are a Syncros 3.0 model with a width of 720 mm, a diameter of 31.8 mm, a rise of 12 mm and a backsweep of 9°. The grips are Syncros Comfort Lock-on grips. The stem is also a Syncros 3.0 model with a 7° angle. The headset is a Syncros OE Press Fit, designed for tapered head tubes.

The bike’s rims are Syncros X-20 Disc models with 32 spoke holes and a black finish. The tyres are Kenda Booster, 2.4 inches wide with a thread count of 30 TPI. The front hub is a Formula CL51 and the rear hub is a Formula CL2241 with a 141QR axle. The spokes are made of stainless steel and are black.

The saddle is a Syncros 3.0 model, as is the seatpost, which has a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm. Both components are finished in black and provide a comfortable riding position.
