The Scott has a geometry that many riders should feel comfortable on. The long chainstays have a positive effect on the climbing characteristics, but dampen the agility.

Scott compensates for this with a slightly steeper steering angle. The choice of components is not stringent. On the one hand, thru-axles on both wheels provide stiffness, on the other hand, cheap clincher tyres are fitted. A good cover protects the chainstay from impact marks, but the chain chisels the gear cable. The high-quality Fox fork provides 100 millimetres of travel suitable for touring, while the large 17-tooth motor sprocket noticeably reduces the motor power of the Bosch CX.

ConclusionThe good frame concept of the Scott could be teased out even more performance with small modifications. Nevertheless, the bike impresses with its decent riding characteristics.

EMTB judgement VERY GOOD² 176 points

The wiring of the electronic components is often not well organised. Again and again we notice cables that can break off - like here on the Scott, where the cable runs too close to the tyre.
