Scott Aspect 770

The 2022 Scott Aspect 770 is a versatile mountain bike characterised by its robust construction and well-thought-out features. Priced at 629 EUR, this bike offers excellent value for money for both beginners and advanced riders.

The Aspect 770’s frame is part of the Aspect 900-700 series, made from 6061 Custom Tubing alloy. It features a BSA73 bottom bracket, internal cable routing and a replaceable derailleur hanger. The maximum load capacity is 128 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 14 kg, resulting in a stable yet manoeuvrable design.

The necessary braking power is provided by Tektro SCM-02 mechanical disc brakes with 160 mm rotors at the front and rear, which deliver reliable braking performance even in adverse conditions. The drivetrain features 21 gears and is controlled by the Shimano Tourney RD-TY300 rear derailleur and the Shimano ST-EF-41-L / 7R EZ-fire Plus shift levers with gear indicator. The MicroShift FD-M20 front derailleur also contributes to precise gear changes.

The Suntour XCE28 fork, with 100 mm of travel, ensures a comfortable ride on uneven trails. The Feimin FP-803 pedals and the Feimin FP.B902 bottom bracket with BB73 and square taper provide a solid foundation for power transfer. The Prowheel TA-CQ01 crankset, with 42x34x24 chainrings, and the Sunrace CSM40 7AV cassette (11-34T) provide a wide range of gear ratios for various types of terrain. Power is transmitted via the KMC Z-7 chain.

The Aspect 770 is fitted with the HL MTB-AL-312BT handlebars, which are 720 mm wide and have a 12 mm rise. The Syncros Pro grips offer a secure grip, whilst the TDS-C301-8FOV stem, with a 10-degree angle and a length of 80 mm, ensures a comfortable riding position. The head tube has a diameter of 1 1/8" and is fitted with a Syncros OE Press Fit headset.

The Syncros X-20 Disc rims with 32 spokes in black are robust and durable, whilst the Kenda Booster tyres, with a width of 2.4" and a TPI of 30, ensure good grip on various surfaces. The front hub is the Formula DC-19 FQR Disc and the rear hub is the Formula DC-27A 7s RQR Disc, both fitted with quick-release skewers.

The Syncros 3.0 saddle and the HL SP C207 seatpost (31.6 mm diameter, 350 mm length) offer comfort even on longer rides. The bike has a seat tube length of 480 mm, a top tube length of 615 mm, and a standover height of 799 mm. The head tube angle is 68 degrees, the seat tube angle is 74 degrees, the head tube length is 120 mm, and the chainstay length is 435 mm. Other dimensions include a bottom bracket drop of 44 mm, a fork offset of 44 mm, a fork top height of 488 mm, a wheelbase of 1147 mm and a bottom bracket height of 309 mm.
