Scott Addict 30

The 2021 "Addict 30" model from Scott is a high-performance and versatile road bike designed for ambitious riders. Priced at 1,599 EUR, it offers excellent specifications and excellent value for money. The Addict 30’s frame is constructed using Addict HMF carbon technology and features endurance geometry as well as a replaceable derailleur hanger. The bike’s total weight is 8 kg, making it a lightweight and agile companion on the road.

The Addict 30 is fitted with Tektro SCBR-526 brakes with cartridge pads, which ensure reliable braking performance. The drivetrain is powered by the Shimano Tiagra Black RD-4700-GS with 20 speeds, whilst the Shimano Tiagra ST-4700 Dual Control shifters ensure precise and easy gear changes. The front derailleur is also a Shimano Tiagra FD-4700, which further enhances shifting performance.

The Addict 30’s fork is made from Addict HMF with a 1 1/8"–1 1/4" carbon steerer tube and alloy dropouts, which contribute to the bike’s lightness and stability. The bottom bracket is a Shimano BB-RS500-PB, and the crankset is a Shimano Tiagra FC-4700 Compact Hyperdrive with a 50x34T gear ratio. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG500 with 10 speeds and a range of 11–32 teeth, offering a wide selection of gears for various types of terrain.

The Addict 30’s drivetrain is completed by a KMC X10 chain. The handlebars are aluminium Syncros Creston 2.0 Compact with a diameter of 31.8 mm, and the stem is a Syncros RR2.0 with four bolts and also a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is an integrated Syncros unit.

The rims are Syncros Race 24V with 24 spokes at the front and 28 at the rear, which, in combination with the Schwalbe ONE Fold tyres in size 700x28C, ensure good road holding and comfort. The front hub is a Formula Team Disc with 24 spokes and the rear hub is a Formula Team Disc with 28 spokes. The spokes are made of 14G stainless steel in black, with a diameter of 2 mm.

The saddle is a Syncros Tofino Regular 2.5 Channel, which ensures comfort on long rides, and the seatpost is a Syncros RR1.2 measuring 27.2/350 mm. Overall, the Scott Addict 30 offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and reliability, making it an excellent choice for road cyclists looking for a high-quality bike at a reasonable price.
