Lapierre ZESTY CF 7.9

Lapierre’s “ZESTY CF 7.9” model from 2024 offers an impressive combination of advanced technology and robust construction at a price of 4,999 EUR. The frame is made from full carbon and offers 150 mm of suspension travel, indicating excellent shock absorption and stability. The frame is designed for 29-inch wheels and features modern standards such as PressFit, Boost, a metric system and a thru-axle, which provides additional stiffness. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 120 kg, enabling it to handle heavy loads.

For the brakes, Lapierre relies on the reliable Shimano Deore with 203 mm discs at the front and 180 mm at the rear, ensuring powerful braking performance. The drivetrain is fitted with the Shimano Deore XT 12s Shadow+, which is renowned for precise and fast gear changes. Suspension is provided by the FOX 36 Float P-Se Fit 4 fork with 150 mm of travel and the FOX Float X shock with a trunnion mount, which together deliver a smooth ride over rough terrain.

The bike is fitted with XLC by VP VPE-527 pedals, and the bottom bracket is a Shimano MT800 Press Fit, which ensures efficient power transfer. The crankset varies depending on frame size: 32T with lengths of 165 mm (S), 170 mm (M, L) and 175 mm (XL). The cassette is a Shimano Deore 10-51T with 12 speeds, which, together with the Shimano Deore 12s drivetrain, ensures versatility across a range of riding conditions.

The handlebars are the Lapierre Thirty One 6061DB, with a width of 780 mm and a rise of 30 mm, whilst the grips are available in different diameters depending on the frame size. The stem is also by Lapierre, made from aluminium, with a 0° angle and a length of 35 mm (S) or 45 mm (M, L, XL). The headset is an Acros Integrated ZS56/ZS56 Block Lock, which provides additional safety whilst riding.

The tyres are Maxxis ASSEGAI 3C MAXXGRIP/NEXO+/TR in size 29x2.50 WT at the front and Maxxis DISSECTOR 3C MAXXTERRA/NEXO+/TR in size 29x2.40 WT, which ensures excellent grip on a wide variety of terrain. The wheelset consists of Shimano MT400 hubs and Rodi Tryp30 aluminium rims. The saddle is the Prologo Scratch M5 PAS model, which offers comfort even on longer rides. The seatpost is a Lapierre Dropper with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a variable travel depending on frame size: 100 mm (S), 150 mm (M, L) and 170 mm (XL).
