Lapierre SPICY CF 8.9

The Lapierre SPICY CF 8.9 from 2025 is a highly developed mountain bike designed for demanding trails. With a price tag of 6999 EUR, it offers a wide range of high-quality components and technical specifications that are suitable for both experienced riders and ambitious beginners. The frame of the bike is the Lapierre Spicy CF, equipped with a post mount disc brake and 172 mm of travel, which in combination with the FOX 38 Float Factory fork with 180 mm of travel offers excellent damping and control. The permissible total weight is 120 kg, which is sufficient for a wide range of riders.

The braking system consists of Shimano Deore XT components, including aluminium brake levers and 203 mm brake discs at the front and rear, which ensure reliable braking performance. The gear system is a Shimano Deore XT 12-speed with Shadow+ technology, which, together with the Rapidfire gear levers, ensures precise and fast gear changes. The drivetrain is supported by the Shimano Deore CN-M6100 12s chain, while the crankset is made of robust aluminium.

The bike has a DT Swiss EX1700 Spline wheelset and is equipped with Schwalbe Magic Mary Evo tyres at the front and Schwalbe Big Betty tyres at the rear, which ensure optimum grip and stability on different surfaces. The handlebars, a Lapierre Thirty Five Alloy with a width of 800 mm and a rise of 30 mm, together with the Lapierre stem, offer a comfortable and controlled riding position. The integrated Acros headset technology ensures precise steering.

The WTB Volt saddle and the Lapierre Dropper telescopic seatpost with an adjustment range of 130 mm offer comfort and flexibility while riding. The geometry of the bike is well thought out, with a reach of 460 mm, a stack of 641 mm, a head tube angle of 64 degrees and a seat tube angle of 78 degrees, which ensures a good balance between stability and agility. With a wheelbase of 1256 mm and a chainstay length of 440 mm, the SPICY CF 8.9 is ready for any challenge on the trail.
