Lapierre PRORACE CF 9.9

The "PRORACE CF 9.9" from Lapierre, released in 2024, is a high-quality mountain bike that stands out thanks to its carefully selected components and well-thought-out design. Priced at EUR 5,999, this model is aimed at discerning riders who value performance and quality. The bike’s frame is made from New Prorace 29” carbon and is fitted with a PressFit bottom bracket and Boost standard. The 12x148mm thru-axle provides additional stability and stiffness, whilst the maximum rider weight is 120 kg.

The bike is fitted with SRAM Level Silver Stealth 2P brakes, featuring 180mm discs at the front and 160mm at the rear, ensuring reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The bike is fitted with the SRAM XO Eagle AXS T-TYPE electronic 12-speed drivetrain, which enables precise and rapid gear changes. The Rockshox SID SL Ultimate fork, with 100 mm of travel and a 3-position Race Day Remote, offers excellent damping characteristics and can be conveniently adjusted from the handlebars.

The bottom bracket is a SRAM DUB PF 92 MTB Wide, whilst the crankset consists of a SRAM XO Eagle T-TYPE DUB with a 34-tooth chainring. The crank arm length varies between 170 mm and 175 mm depending on the frame size. The cassette is a SRAM XS 1295 T-TYPE with a 10–52T range, which, together with the SRAM XO T-TYPE drivetrain, provides a wide gear ratio range.

The handlebars are FSA SL-K FLAT Carbon, 740 mm wide and with a diameter of 31.8 mm. The grips are by Lapierre, anodised and available in two diameters, depending on the frame size. The stem is made from Lapierre AL6061 alloy, has an angle of -6° and a length of 60 mm or 70 mm, depending on the frame size. The headset is an FSA Integrated IS-2/42/ACB with a tapered design.

The tyres are Maxxis REKON RACE EXO TR in size 29*2.35 with a 120 TPI casing and the 3C MaxxTerra rubber compound, which is renowned for its excellent grip and durability. The wheelset consists of Lapierre XC SL 29" carbon rims, which reduce the bike’s overall weight and increase stiffness. The saddle is a Fizik Argo Vento X, 140mm wide, mounted on a Lapierre carbon seatpost with a diameter of 27.2mm and a length of 400mm without offset. Finally, the pedals are XLC by VP VPE-527, which provide a solid connection between rider and bike.
