Lapierre PRORACE CF 5.9

The "PRORACE CF 5.9" model from the Lapierre brand from 2024 is an advanced mountain bike that impresses in terms of both performance and design. With a price tag of €1999, it offers a good balance between price and quality. The frame of the bike is made of lightweight New Prorace 29" carbon and is equipped with a press-fit bottom bracket and a Boost standard, which is complemented by a 12x148mm Thru Axle. The permissible total weight of the bike is 120kg, which makes it robust and durable.

The brakes are Shimano MT410 models with a disc size of 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear, which ensures reliable braking power. The gearing is a Shimano Deore 12-speed Shadow+, which is known for precise and smooth gear changes. The Suntour SF19 - RAIDON32-BOOST RLR DS fork with 100 mm travel contributes to excellent shock absorption and offers a comfortable riding experience on rough terrain.

The bottom bracket is the Shimano MT800 Press Fit, while the crankset is a Shimano MT512 with 32 teeth, with the length varying depending on the frame size: 170 mm for size S and 175 mm for M, L and XL. The crankset is a Shimano Deore 10-51T with 12 gears, offering the rider a wide range of gear ratios. The drive is also provided by Shimano Deore 12s components.

Comfort and control are provided by the Lapierre alloy 6061 Top Flat handlebars with a width of 740 mm and a diameter of 31.8 mm as well as the Lapierre grips, which are available in two diameters to suit different hand sizes. The stem is made of Lapierre AL6061 Alloy with a tilt angle of -6° and a length of 60 mm for sizes S and M and 70 mm for L and XL.

The headset is an FSA Integrated IS-2 /42/ACB for forks with a taper from 1-1/8'' to 1.5''. The tyres are Maxxis REKON RACE EXO/TR in size 29x2.35, foldable with a high TPI of 120, which makes them particularly durable and light. The wheelset consists of Shimano MT400 hubs paired with Rodi Tryp25 aluminium rims.

The saddle is the Lapierre XC model, which is mounted on a Lapierre aluminium seat post with a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 400 mm. XLC by VP VPE-527 pedals round off the equipment and provide a secure footing. All in all, the PRORACE CF 5.9 is a well thought-out combination of high-quality components designed for ambitious mountain bikers.
