Kreidler Vitality Eco 8 EDT Freilauf

The "Vitality Eco 8 EDT Freewheel" model from Kreidler from 2024 offers a balanced combination of technical refinements and practical features at a price of EUR 4299. The frame is made of 6061 aluminium and is specially designed for the full integration of the Bosch drive system. With a permissible total weight of 140 kg and a tare weight of 26 kg, the bike demonstrates a solid construction that is also suitable for more demanding rides.

The braking system consists of Shimano BR-MT200 disc brakes with a diameter of 180 mm at the front and rear, which are operated via Shimano Altus 3-finger brake levers. Shifting is provided by the Shimano Nexus SG-C7000-5D system with a 5-speed freewheel, controlled by a Shimano Nexus CJ-7000 twist shifter. This combination ensures reliable and comfortable shifting performance.

The Suntour NEX-E25 aluminium fork with a suspension travel of 65 mm contributes to damping and increases riding comfort, while the Humpert Ergotec City Cruiser handlebars in conjunction with the Herrmans DD37 grips offer ergonomic handling. The drive is provided by a Gates CDX drive belt which, in conjunction with the Miranda aluminium crankset and the Gates CDX pulley, ensures quiet and low-maintenance operation.

For lighting, the model is equipped with a Herrmans MR Go front light with 30 LUX and parking light as well as a Trelock LS 654 rear light with brake light function, which also has a parking light function. The Schwalbe Citizen tyres (47-622) offer good grip and visibility thanks to reflective strips. The bike is also fitted with a Selle Royal Essenza saddle, which is mounted on a Humpert Ergotec SP 5.0 suspension seat post for increased comfort.

Other practical features include SKS A53 plastic mudguards, a Pletscher Comp Flex rear kickstand and a Kreidler Basic Tour 2.0 pannier rack, which is compatible with the Racktime Snap-It 2.0 system. The Bosch Performance Line mid-motor with 250 watts is powered by a fully integrated Bosch frame battery with a capacity of 625 Wh, controlled via the Purion 200 display. This drive system offers powerful support and a considerable range, ideal for longer tours or daily commuting.
