Kreidler Vitality Eco 8+

The "Vitality Eco 8+" model from Kreidler, launched in 2024, is an e-bike that stands out for its high-quality build and comprehensive range of features. Priced at EUR 4,599, it offers a wide range of features suitable for both everyday use and longer rides. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and fully integrates the Bosch mid-drive motor, creating a harmonious look. The maximum permissible weight is 170 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 27 kg.

Reliable braking performance is provided by the Shimano Deore brakes, featuring a combination of 4- and 2-piston calipers (180 mm) at the front and a 2-piston system (160 mm) at the rear. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 5-speed with a coaster brake, operated via a twist grip. The Suntour Mobie25 fork, with 80 mm of travel and a lockout function, ensures comfort on uneven terrain.

The lighting comprises a Herrmans MR4 front light with 40 LUX and a parking light, as well as a Trelock LS 654 rear light with a brake light function and a parking light, which ensure safety when cycling at night. Power is transmitted via a low-maintenance Gates CDX drive belt, which, in combination with a Gates CDX pulley and a Miranda aluminium crankset with 46 teeth, offers a smooth ride.

The handlebars are aluminium Humpert Ergotec Ergo Plus L, 660 mm wide, and, together with the Herrmans DD37 grips and the angle-adjustable Humpert Ergotec Swell RE stem, offer comfortable handling. The wheels feature Ryde Andra 40 Disc aluminium rims with Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres, which are renowned for their puncture resistance.

Further features include the Selle Royal Essenza saddle, a Humpert Ergotec Skalar seatpost and mudguards from SKS. The Pletscher Comp Flex rear stand ensures stability, whilst the Kreidler Basic Tour 2.0 luggage rack, compatible with the Racktime Snap-It 2.0 system, offers versatile transport options.

The Bosch Performance Line motor, with an output of 250 watts, is powered by a fully integrated Bosch lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 625 Wh, which provides sufficient energy for longer journeys. The Intuvia 100 display allows for easy control of the electric assistance and clearly displays all relevant information. Overall, the Vitality Eco 8+ offers a well-designed and robust package for discerning cyclists.
