Kreidler Vitality Eco

The 2020 Kreidler Vitality Eco is an e-bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and robust construction. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and is semi-integrated to accommodate the AEG mid-drive motor, ensuring balanced weight distribution and a comfortable ride. The motor, an AEG EcoDrive with 250 watts of power, is powered by a 400 Wh lithium-ion battery housed in the seat tube. The power supply is controlled via an AEG LCD display, which provides the rider with all the essential information.

Braking safety is ensured by the Magura HS11 brakes, which are operated via 3-finger brake levers. The aluminium Suntour CR8V suspension fork, with its 28-inch travel, offers comfortable suspension that effectively absorbs bumps on the trail. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano Nexus gear lever, combined with a 7-speed Shimano coaster hub. The Bafang aluminium crankset and the 19-tooth Shimano sprocket complete the drivetrain, which is connected by a KMC S1 chain.

The lighting comprises an LED front light with 70 lux and a parking light, as well as a Hermans H-Trace rear light, also with a parking light, ensuring good visibility in traffic. The steel handlebars are 600 mm wide and are supported by an angle-adjustable aluminium stem. The grips are ergonomically shaped and are made by Herrmans.

The bike rides on Schürmann YAK19 aluminium hollow-section rims, fitted with Kenda City tyres. The hubs are made from Parallax aluminium and the spokes are made of 2 mm diameter stainless steel. The model features a Selle Royal Rio City saddle, mounted on a suspension seatpost from Humpert.

Other features include aluminium city/trekking pedals, plastic mudguards from Bikemen, and a practical side stand from Ursus Wave. The Kreidler Vitality Eco thus offers a well-balanced combination of comfort, safety and functionality at a price of 1,889 EUR.
