Kreidler Vitality Eco 2 Sport

The 2020 Kreidler Vitality Eco 2 Sport is a versatile e-bike designed for urban and trekking use. Priced at EUR 2,299, it offers a solid spec and a well-thought-out combination of performance and comfort. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and features a semi-integrated third-generation Bosch Performance mid-drive motor, ensuring both stability and an attractive appearance. The motor delivers 250 watts of power, supplied by a 400 Wh Bosch frame battery, which provides sufficient assistance for longer rides. The bike’s total weight is 25 kg.

For reliable braking performance, 180 mm diameter Tektro HD-M275 disc brakes are fitted, which, together with the matching Tektro brake levers, ensure safety. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Acera system, controlled by the Shimano RS-315 shifter, enabling precise gear changes. The aluminium Suntour NEX suspension fork ensures comfort on uneven terrain.

Road safety is provided by the Herrmans MR Go front light with 30 LUX and a parking light, as well as the Herrmans H-Trace rear light, which also features a parking light. The spec is rounded off by aluminium city/trekking pedals and a Lasco aluminium crankset. The cassette is a Shimano HG318 with 11–32 teeth, whilst the drivetrain uses a KMC Z8 chain.

The handlebars are 600 mm wide steel trekking handlebars fitted with Herrmans DD37 grips, which are securely fastened using screw clamps. The a-head stem is angle-adjustable and made of aluminium, allowing for individual adjustments. The Acros AZX-212 headset is tapered.

The Schürmann YAK19 Disc rims, made from hollow-chamber aluminium, are fitted with Schwalbe Citizen tyres in size 47-622, which feature reflective strips for improved visibility. The hubs are Shimano HB-TX505 models, and the spokes have a diameter of 2 mm. The wheelset is 28 inches in size.

Comfort is ensured by the Selle Royal Rio saddle and the Humpert Ergotec Atar seatpost, which is patented and has a diameter of 27.2 mm and a length of 300 mm. SKS plastic mudguards protect against dirt and spray, whilst the Pletscher Comp Flex rear stand ensures the bike stands securely.

The Vitality Eco 2 Sport is fitted with the Bosch Purion display, which clearly shows all the key information. Overall, this model offers a balanced combination of technology and comfort, making it ideal for use in urban environments and on longer rides.
