Kreidler Vitality Eco 1 Freilauf

The "Vitality Eco 1 Freilauf" model from Kreidler, launched in 2021, is an e-bike which, at a price of 2,099 euros, represents an attractive option in the electric bike market. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium and features a semi-integrated Bosch motor, which not only gives the bike stability but also a modern design. With a total weight of 25 kg, it is robust yet easy to handle.

The bike’s brakes are Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brakes, fitted with 3-finger brake levers, ensuring reliable braking performance. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 7-speed freewheel, operated via a twist grip, which allows for simple and intuitive handling. The Suntour CR7V fork, with 65 mm of travel, provides additional comfort on uneven roads.

For lighting, the bike is fitted with a Herrmans MR Go front light, which offers 30 LUX brightness and features a parking light. The rear light, also from Herrmans (H-Trace), is likewise fitted with a parking light. These features enhance safety when cycling at dusk or at night.

The Vitality Eco 1 Freilauf is fitted with a Bosch Active mid-drive motor with an output of 250 watts, which works in conjunction with a semi-integrated Bosch frame battery. The battery has a capacity of 400 Wh (36 volts, 11.0 Ah), providing sufficient power for longer rides. The Purion display allows for easy control and monitoring of the motor’s assistance modes.

Other features include a Miranda aluminium crankset, a 19-tooth Shimano sprocket and a KMC S1 drivetrain. The handlebars are 600 mm wide steel trekking handlebars fitted with Herrmans Ergo 84B grips. The angle-adjustable aluminium stem and the Chin Haur headset ensure a personalised fit for the rider.

The Schürmann YAK19 aluminium hollow-section rims are fitted with Kenda City tyres (47-622) featuring reflective strips for improved visibility. The front hub is a Parallax aluminium hub and the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 7-speed hub. The Selle Royal Rio saddle, combined with the suspension-equipped Humpert Ergotec SP 5.0 seatpost, offers additional comfort.

The bike is rounded off with practical details such as SKS plastic mudguards, a Pletscher Comp Flex rear stand and a strutless steel-tube luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap. These features make the Vitality Eco 1 Freilauf a versatile e-bike, suitable for both everyday use and longer rides.
