HoheAcht MOLA MONTO

The “MOLA MONTO” model from the HoheAcht brand, launched in 2022, is a high-performance e-bike priced at 5099 EUR, placing it in the upper mid-range. With a maximum permissible weight of 130 kg and a kerb weight of 24 kg, it features a robust construction suitable for a variety of riding conditions.

The bike is fitted with high-quality braking components, including Hayes hydraulic disc brakes with four-piston calipers at both the front and rear. The brake discs are generously sized at 203 mm at the front and 180 mm at the rear, ensuring reliable braking performance. The drivetrain consists of a 12-speed derailleur from SRAM, the NX Eagle model, which enables precise gear changes.

Suspension is provided by a RockShox 35 Silver TK suspension fork with 120 mm of travel and a RockShox Deluxe Select+ shock absorber with 45 mm of travel. This combination ensures a comfortable ride on uneven terrain. Lighting is provided by the M-WAVE Atlas K 50 battery-powered light set, which uses high-output LEDs at both the front and rear.

The MOLA MONTO is fitted with aluminium pedals from Marwi and a Shimano Steps crankset, which includes a 36-tooth chainring. The SRAM Eagle cassette offers a wide gear range with 12 speeds and a tooth count of 11–50. Power is transmitted via an SRAM SX Eagle 12 S chain.

The aluminium handlebars from Kalloy-HoheAcht are 720 mm wide and ergonomically shaped with a 12° bend and a 15 mm rise. The grips are from Ergon and, at 135 mm in length, offer additional comfort. The stem is also made of aluminium and offers flexibility in adjustment, with a length ranging from 40 mm to 60 mm and an angle of ±7°.

The bike is fitted with Sunringlé Düroc SD37 Expert rims and Schwalbe tyres, comprising the Nobby Nic at the front and the Rocket Ron at the rear, both in the size 27.5'' x 2.6''. This combination ensures good traction on a variety of surfaces. The hubs are designed to Boost standards, which provides additional stability.

The saddle is a Selle Royal Essenza Plus model, mounted on a Kind Shock dropper seatpost, which allows the seat height to be adjusted whilst riding. An ABUS lock ensures security when you’re away.

At the heart of the MOLA MONTO is the Shimano Steps DU-EP8 mid-drive motor, which provides 85 Nm of torque and reaches speeds of up to 25 km/h. The integrated battery has a capacity of 630 Wh, enabling extended rides. A Shimano Steps display provides comprehensive information on riding conditions and supports Bluetooth and ANT Private connections.

In terms of geometry, the MOLA MONTO offers a balanced riding position with a reach of 462 mm, a stack of 620 mm and a head tube angle of 67 degrees. The seat tube angle is 74 degrees, which, together with a chainstay length of 460 mm and a wheelbase of 1196 mm, ensures stable handling. The bottom bracket height is 330 mm, offering a good balance between ground clearance and centre of gravity.
