Hercules Tourer Sport

The 2021 Hercules Tourer Sport is a versatile trekking bike designed for use on a wide variety of routes. Priced at 799 EUR, this model offers good value for money. The frame is made from AL 6061 aluminium, which gives the bike a robust yet lightweight structure. The maximum load capacity is 135 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 18 kg.

The Tektro HD-276 hydraulic disc brakes ensure reliable braking power in a range of weather conditions. The 180 mm front brake disc complements the braking system and offers additional safety. The gear system comprises a Shimano Altus M2000 24-speed groupset, operated by the Shimano SL-M315 shift lever. The SHIMANO FD-TY710 front derailleur contributes to precise gear-changing control.

The SR Suntour NEX fork, with 63 mm of travel, is adjustable and offers comfort on uneven terrain. Lighting is provided by the AXA Ecoline LED front light, delivering up to 15 lux, and the AXA Slim Steady LED rear light for the luggage rack, which features a parking light function. The Wellgo pedals and the Shimano FC-TY301 crankset contribute to the durability and efficiency of the drivetrain, whilst the Shimano CS-HG200-8 cassette, with a 12–32T gear ratio, offers a wide range of gears.

The handlebars are made from Trekking AL with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a 25° backsweep for an ergonomic hand position. The Ergo 2D grips and the adjustable A-head stem allow for individual customisation for the rider. The semi-integrated headset design contributes to the stability of the steering.

The bike is fitted with DDM-1 rims and Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres, which offer additional puncture protection thanks to their K-Guard technology. The hubs consist of a combination of Shimano DH-3D32 and Formula DC-22RQR, both with disc brake mounts, and are held together by black steel spokes.

The Velo Trekking D2 saddle, combined with the Kalloy SP-602 seatpost, ensures comfort on long rides. Additional features such as plastic mudguards with V-struts, a Horn Catena A16 chain guard, a Standwell SW-MA027J centre stand and an i-Rack aluminium luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap round off the overall package. With a reach of 386 mm and a stack of 640 mm, the Hercules Tourer Sport offers balanced geometry for comfortable riding on tours and in everyday use.
