Hercules Tourer Comp

The 2023 “Tourer Comp” model from Hercules is a versatile trekking bike which, at a price of 999 EUR, represents an attractive option for cycling enthusiasts. The frame is made from AL 6061 aluminium from the Trekking Series, giving the bike a robust yet lightweight structure. Weighing 18 kg and with a maximum load capacity of 135 kg, the bike is both sturdy and light enough for everyday use.

The model is fitted with a Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brake system, which provides reliable braking power at both the front and rear. The front brake disc has a diameter of 180 mm, whilst the rear disc measures 160 mm. The Shimano Alivio RD-M3100 derailleur offers 27 gears, operated by the Shimano SL-M2010 shift lever, allowing for flexible adaptation to different riding conditions. The SHIMANO FD-M370 front derailleur completes the gear system.

The SR Suntour NEX fork, with 63 mm of travel, is adjustable and features a hydraulic lockout, ensuring comfortable suspension on uneven terrain. For safety and visibility on the road, the model is fitted with a Comus DHL-F130K LED front light, which provides up to 30 lux, and an AXA Slim Steady LED rear light with a parking light function.

Other features include Wellgo pedals, a Shimano Alivio T4010 crankset and Schwalbe Marathon tyres with Performance GreenGuard technology for additional puncture protection. The handlebars are made of aluminium and feature a 9° backsweep and a 25 mm rise, whilst the stem is adjustable to allow for an optimal riding position.

The Velo Trekking saddle and the Kalloy SP-602 seatpost provide comfort on long rides. Practical components such as SKS mudguards, a Horn Catena chain guard, a Standwell centre-mount kickstand and an i-Rack luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap round off the specification. With a wheelbase of 1099 mm, a seat tube length of 560 mm and a head tube angle of 71 degrees, the Tourer Comp offers balanced geometry for comfortable riding over long distances.
