Hercules Tourer Comp

The 2022 “Tourer Comp” model from Hercules is a versatile trekking bike that stands out for its high-quality components and robust construction. The aluminium frame (AL 6061) ensures a stable yet lightweight construction with a total weight of 18 kg, whilst the maximum load capacity is 135 kg. This makes it an ideal choice for longer tours with luggage.

Fitted with a Shimano Alivio M3100 groupset, the bike offers 27 gears, which can be operated via the Shimano SL-M2010 shift levers. The front derailleur is a SHIMANO FD-M370, ensuring precise and reliable shifting performance. The Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, with Shimano BL-MT200 brake levers and a 180 mm Shimano SM-RT10 front brake disc, provide excellent braking power and safety in a variety of conditions.

The SR Suntour NEX fork, with 63 mm of travel and an adjustable hydraulic lockout, offers comfort and control on uneven terrain. The crankset is a Shimano Alivio T4010, combined with a Shimano CS-HG200-9 cassette (11-34T) and a KMC Z9 chain. The Ryde Taurus 21 rims are fitted with Schwalbe Marathon tyres (47-622), which are renowned for their durability and puncture resistance. The hubs are by Shimano: the DH-3D37 model at the front with quick-release and Centre Lock, and the TX5050 model at the rear, also with quick-release and Centre Lock.

Additional comfort is provided by the Velo Trekking D2 saddle, the Kalloy SP-602 seatpost and the adjustable A-head stem. The handlebars are a Trekking AL model with a 31.8 mm diameter and a 25° backsweep for an ergonomic riding position. The grips are Ergo 2D for added comfort.

The Tourer Comp is also equipped with practical features such as SKS plastic mudguards, a Horn Catena A16/48 chain guard, a Standwell SW-MA027J centre stand and an i-Rack aluminium luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap. The pedals are non-slip Wellgo C-098DU models made of aluminium.
