Hercules Spyder Sport 21

The “Spyder Sport 21” model from Hercules, released in 2023, is a versatile bicycle characterised by a combination of robust design and modern features. The frame is made from MTB Series aluminium (AL 6061), which gives the bike a sturdy yet lightweight structure. With a total weight of 17 kg and a maximum load capacity of 135 kg, the Spyder Sport 21 is suitable for both everyday use and more demanding rides.

The bike’s braking system consists of Tektro hydraulic disc brakes – specifically the HD-M285 model – with 160 mm brake discs at both the front and rear. These ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Acera M370 system with 21 gears, allowing for flexible adaptation to different terrain conditions. The shift levers are Shimano SL-M315, whilst the front derailleur is the SHIMANO FD-TY710.

The SR Suntour NVX-30DS fork offers 100 mm of travel and is adjustable, providing additional comfort on uneven terrain. Lighting is provided by the Comus DHL-F130K LED front light, delivering up to 30 lux, and the Comus RL-Mini LED rear light with a parking light function, which enhances visibility in low-light conditions.

Further features include the Shimano FC-TY301 crankset with a length of 170 mm and the Shimano CS-HG200-7 cassette with a range of 12–32T. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z7 chain. Additional comfort is provided by the Trekking AL handlebars with a 9° backsweep and 25 mm rise, as well as the ergonomic grips with integrated clamps and bar ends.

The bike is also fitted with Schwalbe Tough Tom tyres, which are renowned for their durability and good grip. The front hub is a Shimano DH-3D32 hub dynamo disc, whilst the rear is a Formula DC-22RQR disc, both fitted with steel spokes. The unisex Selle Royal One saddle and the Kalloy SP-602 seatpost ensure a comfortable riding position.
