Hercules Rob Fold R7

The 2023 Hercules Rob Fold R7 is a versatile and practical e-bike that stands out in particular for its foldability. Priced at 2,999 euros, it offers a solid specification and high-quality components. The frame is made from eFold Series aluminium (AL 6061) and contributes to a total weight of 22 kg, whilst the maximum load capacity is 135 kg. The braking system consists of Magura HS11 hydraulic rim brakes, which provide reliable stopping power at both the front and rear. A coaster brake is also integrated.

The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 7-speed with a coaster brake, controlled via a Shimano Revoshifter. The rigid steel fork ensures stability and precision whilst riding. In terms of lighting, the bike is fitted with a Hercules FS-50 LED front light, which delivers up to 50 lux, and a Busch & Müller Toplight 2C LED rear light. The drivetrain features a KMC Z1EHX, whilst the crankset is an FSA CK-220. The sprocket has 18 teeth.

The handlebars are Trekking AL with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a 37° backsweep, complemented by ergonomic grips with integrated clamps. The adjustable Zecure AllUp + Up2+ stem allows for height adjustment of up to 150 mm. Comfort is ensured by the Selle Royal Nuvola saddle, mounted on a Kalloy SP-DC1 seatpost. The Schwalbe Big Apple tyres with RaceGuard offer stability and puncture protection.

The Rob Fold R7 is fitted with an Active GEN3 motor, which delivers 250 watts and 40 Nm of torque. The Bosch PowerPack battery has a capacity of 400 Wh and is charged using a Bosch 2 A charger. The Bosch Purion display offers simple and intuitive control of the electric assistance. Other practical features include the Monkey Load luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap, a Massload two-leg stand and an ABUS battery lock with an XPlus cylinder. SKS B55 plastic mudguards and a Herrmans Slyde chain guard complete the package. With a wheelbase of 1064 mm and a seat tube length of 460 mm, the Rob Fold R7 offers balanced geometry for a comfortable ride.
