Hercules Rob Fold R5

The 2024 Hercules Rob Fold R5 is a versatile e-bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and high level of functionality. Priced at 4,199 euros, it is aimed at users who value quality and comfort. The bike’s frame is made from the robust eFold Series AL6061, resulting in a total weight of 25 kg and allowing for a maximum load capacity of 135 kg. The bike is suitable for riders between 155 cm and 200 cm tall, making it a versatile choice for many cyclists.

The Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, with a 180 mm front brake disc and a 160 mm rear disc, ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The gear system consists of a Shimano Nexus 5-speed hub gear with a coaster brake, operated by the Shimano SL-C7000-5 gear lever. This combination offers ease of use and maintenance.

Power is transmitted via a Gates CDX system with a 28-tooth sprocket, which works in conjunction with the FSA CK-220 crankset. The rigid aluminium fork contributes to the bike’s stability. Lighting is provided at the front by the Hercules FS-50 light, delivering up to 50 lux, and at the rear by the Comus RZ-100 COB-LED, both of which ensure good visibility in road traffic.

The Rob Fold R5 is fitted with a Bosch Performance Line Smart System motor, which delivers 250 watts of power and 75 Nm of torque. The Bosch PowerPack battery, with a capacity of 545 Wh, powers the motor and can be charged using the Bosch 2A charger. The Bosch Intuvia 100 display offers intuitive operation and an overview of all key ride data.

Other practical features include the Monkey Load luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap, the ABUS DR3 X-Plus lock for added security, as well as Curana Apollo mudguards and a sturdy Massload CL-KA88 two-legged kickstand.
