Hercules Pasero Comp I-12

The 2022 Hercules Pasero Comp I-12 is a high-quality e-bike which, at a price of 4199 EUR, is positioned in the upper mid-range. The frame is made from Aluminium Trekking Sport, manufactured from AL 6061, and provides a sturdy base for the Brose S-Mag motor, which delivers powerful assistance with 250 watts and a torque of 90 Nm. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 135 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 27 kg.

The Pasero Comp I-12 is fitted with a Shimano MT410 hydraulic disc brake, which ensures reliable braking performance. The brake levers are Shimano BL-MT402, and the front brake disc measures 180 mm (Shimano SM-RT30). The Shimano Deore RD-M6100 is used for the derailleur, controlled by the Shimano Deore SL-M6100 shifter. The fork is an SR Suntour NCX-D with 63 mm of travel; it is air-sprung, features a lockout function and is fitted with a 15 mm thru-axle.

In terms of lighting, the bike is fitted with a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light, which provides up to 40 lux, and a Comus RZ-100EB LED rear light on the luggage rack. The pedals are made of aluminium (Marwi SP828) and the crankset is an FSA CK-745. The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M6100 with a 10–51T range, whilst the drivetrain uses a Shimano CN-M6100 chain.

The handlebars are aluminium Satori Wien with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a 15° backsweep, complemented by ergonomic grips with integrated clamps. The adjustable A-head stem and the integrated tapered headset complete the steering assembly. The Ryde Taurus 2000 rims are fitted with SUPERO Optima Safe tyres in size 50-622. The front hub is a Shimano MT400 and the rear a Shimano MT410, both featuring thru-axles and the Centerlock system.

The saddle is a Trekking Comodoro with Hydro Foam padding, mounted on a Kalloy SP-383 aluminium seatpost with 45 mm of travel. The saddle is secured via a quick-release mechanism. Plastic mudguards from SKS (PET A60 S) protect against splash water, whilst the Horn Catena 17 chain guard covers the chain. The Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand ensures stability, and the ABUS battery lock with Plus cylinder offers additional security.

The package is rounded off by an i-Rack luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap. The battery has a capacity of 750 Wh and is charged using a FIT 4A charger. The display is a Fit Compact 2" Centre Display with a remote controller, which clearly shows all the key information. With a reach of 418 mm and a stack height of 644 mm, the Pasero Comp I-12 offers comfortable geometry for longer rides.
