Hercules Nos FS 2.1

The "Nos FS 2.1" model from Hercules, launched in 2023, is a high-performance e-mountain bike priced at 6,199 EUR. The frame is made from the robust Aluminium eMTB R13 Series, AL 6061, and the bike has a maximum permissible weight of 125 kg with a kerb weight of 25 kg.

The Nos FS 2.1’s braking system is highly reliable and comprises Shimano Deore XT MT8120 hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm rotors at both the front and rear. The Shimano BL-M8100 brake levers ensure precise control of braking force. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Deore XT RD-M8100, a 12-speed rear derailleur, operated via a Shimano Deore SL-M6100 shifter.

The Rock Shox Lyrik Select fork with 150 mm of travel and the Rock Shox Deluxe Select rear shock, also with 150 mm of travel, ensure excellent ride quality. These components offer superb damping and control on challenging terrain. Lighting is provided by MonkeyLink reflectors at the front and rear.

The Nos FS 2.1 is fitted with VP-469 MTB pedals and features a Hercules EC40 crankset with a length of 170 mm. The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M6100 with a range of 10–51T, whilst the drivetrain is powered by a Shimano CN-M6100 chain.

The handlebars are aluminium MTB risers with a diameter of 31.8 mm, complemented by MTB grips with integrated clamps. The stem is A-Head and MonkeyLink-ready, whilst the headset is an integrated tapered type. The tyres are Schwalbe Magic Mary Performance (size 62-622) at the front and Schwalbe Hans Dampf Performance (size 65-584) at the rear.

The Crankbrothers Synthesis wheelsets are fitted with a 15×110 mm hub at the front and a 12×148 mm hub at the rear. The saddle is a Selle Royal Aidon, mounted on a Limotec Dropperpost A1Z seatpost with a diameter of 30.9 mm and a black QR saddle clamp.

An ABUS IT1 battery lock with an XPlus cylinder ensures security. The motor is a Shimano EP8 with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 85 Nm, combined with a Simplo Intube battery with a capacity of 630 Wh and a Simplo 2 A charger. The display is a Shimano EP800.

The bike’s geometry offers a reach of 445 mm, a stack of 625 mm, a seat tube length of 440 mm, and head tube and seat tube angles of 66 and 74 degrees respectively. The head tube is 110 mm long and the wheelbase is 1236 mm. These specifications make the Nos FS 2.1 a versatile e-MTB that is suitable for both challenging trails and longer rides.
