Hercules Nos FS 1.1

The "Nos FS 1.1" model from Hercules, released in 2023, is a high-quality e-mountain bike which, at a price of 5,699 EUR, is positioned in the upper mid-range. The frame is made from aluminium from the eMTB R4 series, specifically AL 6061, which ensures a robust yet lightweight construction. The bike’s maximum load capacity is 125 kg, whilst it weighs 25 kg.

The braking system is fitted with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, specifically the Deore XT MT7120 model, which features 203 mm brake discs at both the front and rear to ensure reliable braking performance. The brake levers are the Shimano BL-M7100, which offer precise control. The derailleur is a Shimano Deore XT RD-M8100 with 12 speeds, operated via the Shimano Deore SL-M6100 shifter, and the cassette offers a gear ratio of 10-51T.

Suspension is provided by the Rock Shox Lyrik Select fork with 150 mm of travel, combined with a Rock Shox Deluxe Select rear shock, also with 150 mm of travel. These components offer excellent damping and control on rough terrain. The wheelset consists of Crankbrothers Synthesis wheels with different dimensions at the front (15×110 mm) and rear (12×148 mm), combined with Schwalbe Magic Mary Performance tyres at the front and Schwalbe Hans Dampf Performance tyres at the rear.

Power is provided by a 250-watt S-MAG Pro FIT motor with a torque of 90 Nm, powered by a high-performance FIT Supercore battery with a capacity of 750 Wh. The FIT LCD remote display allows for easy control and monitoring of the system settings. The bike features an FSA CK-220 crankset and an ABUS IT4 battery lock with an XPlus cylinder for added security.

The MTB riser handlebars with integrated clamping and the Limotec A1Z dropper post ensure comfort and adjustability whilst riding. The Selle Royal Aidon saddle offers additional comfort, whilst the MonkeyLink reflectors on the front and rear lights ensure visibility. The Nos FS 1.1 is fitted with an A-Head stem that is MonkeyLink-ready and features an integrated tapered headset.

With a seat tube length of 440 mm, a head tube angle of 67 degrees and a seat tube angle of 75 degrees, the bike offers well-balanced geometry. The wheelbase is 1233 mm, which ensures stability, whilst the reach is 444 mm and the stack is 600 mm. Overall, the Hercules Nos FS 1.1 is a well-designed e-mountain bike that impresses both in terms of technology and equipment.
