Hercules Edison GR I-11

The Edison GR I-11 from Hercules, launched in 2023, is a versatile e-trekking bike fitted with a wide range of high-quality components. The frame is made from eTrekking R15-Series aluminium and offers a sturdy yet lightweight construction with a total weight of 27 kg. The maximum load capacity is 135 kg, making it suitable for heavy-duty use.

Safety is ensured by Shimano RS785 hydraulic disc brakes, with a 180 mm rotor diameter at both the front and rear. These are complemented by the Shimano GRX ST-RX600 brake levers, which offer precise and reliable braking control. The drivetrain features the Shimano GRX RD-RX812 with 11 speeds, controlled by the Shimano GRX ST-RX600 shifter, enabling smooth and efficient gear changes.

The SR Suntour NCX32 fork, with 63 mm of travel, offers additional comfort and control on uneven terrain. Lighting is provided by a powerful Hercules front light with up to 150 lux and a daytime running light sensor, as well as a Busch & Müller rear light, which ensures good visibility.

The Edison GR I-11 is fitted with Schwalbe G-ONE Bite Performance tyres mounted on Rodi WEB 19 rims. This combination ensures excellent traction and stability on a variety of surfaces. Power is transmitted via a KMC X11E chain, which, in combination with an FSA CK-752 crankset and a Shimano SLX cassette (11–42T), ensures efficient power transfer.

Comfort is ensured by the Selle Royal Aidon saddle and the Hercules seatpost. An adjustable Zecure UP2+ stem and Gravel AL handlebars offer additional adjustment options for an ergonomic riding position. Practical features such as an i-Rack system luggage rack, Curana C-Lite mudguards and a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand round off the specification.

The bike is powered by a 250-watt EP8 motor with a torque of 85 Nm, which, combined with a Simplo Intube battery with a capacity of 630 Wh, ensures an impressive range. The Shimano E6100 display provides all the necessary information at a glance.
