Hercules E-Imperial I-10

The Hercules E-Imperial I-10 from 2021 is a high-quality e-bike which, at a price of 3,999 EUR, is positioned in the premium segment. It features a sturdy aluminium frame from the Trekking Sport Advanced Series, manufactured using Powertube technology and a tapered design in AL 6061. The maximum load capacity is an impressive 170 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 29 kg.

Reliable braking performance is provided by Shimano MT410 hydraulic disc brakes, complemented by Shimano BL-MT402 brake levers and a Shimano SM-RT54 front brake disc with a diameter of 180 mm. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Deore M5120 groupset, controlled via the Shimano Deore SL-M4100 shifter. An SR Suntour NEX-E25 HLO fork with 63 mm of travel, which is adjustable and features a lockout function, ensures additional riding comfort.

The e-bike’s lighting comprises a HERCULES FH 100 LED front light with an output of up to 100 lux and an integrated Ivalo LED rear light in the luggage rack. The pedals are made of aluminium and are designated Marwi SP828, whilst the crankset is called Samox EC38. The cassette is a Shimano Deore CS-M4100 with a range of 11–46T, and the drivetrain uses a KMC X10E chain.

The handlebars are Zecure HD with a diameter of 31.8 mm, a backsweep of 35° and a rise of 20 mm. The grips are ergonomically designed and feature an integrated clamping system. The stem is adjustable and the headset is integrated and tapered. The rims are Ryde Andra 40, fitted with Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres in size 47-622 featuring SmartGuard technology. The hubs are Shimano M4050, both fitted with quick-release mechanisms and CentreLock, and the spokes are made of black stainless steel with a diameter of 2 mm.

Comfort is provided by a Selle Bassano SUPREMA City saddle, mounted on a Zecure HD001 aluminium seatpost with a length of 300 mm and a diameter of Ø31.6 mm. The saddle clamp is black and features a QR (Quick Release) mechanism. SKS A53 plastic mudguards and a Horn Catena 08 chain guard provide additional protection against dirt and moisture.

The bike is fitted with a Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand and features an ABUS Pro Shield 5850 lock with a key-operated battery lock for enhanced security. The luggage rack is by Racktime, featuring an aluminium SnapIt system and an integrated rear light.

The e-bike is powered by a Bosch Performance Cruise GEN3 motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 65 Nm. The battery is a Bosch Powertube with a capacity of 625 Wh, which is charged using a Bosch 2A charger. The Bosch Intuvia display offers user-friendly controls and an overview of the key functions. With a reach of 413 mm and a stack of 646 mm, the E-Imperial I-10 offers balanced geometry for a comfortable ride.
