Hercules E-Imperial 180 S 10

The "E-Imperial 180 S 10" model from Hercules, launched in 2021, is a versatile e-bike that is particularly well-suited to urban use and trekking tours. The price for this model is 3,699 euros. The e-bike’s frame is made of aluminium and is specifically designed as a ‘Trekking City Advanced’ model, giving it a robust construction. The maximum permissible weight is 180 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 28 kg.

Reliable braking performance is provided by the Shimano MT410 hydraulic disc brakes, combined with Shimano BL-MT402 brake levers and a 180 mm front brake disc. Gear changes are handled by the Shimano Deore M5120 groupset, supported by the Shimano Deore SL-M4100 shift lever, enabling precise and smooth gear selection.

The SR Suntour NEX-E25 fork, with 63 mm of travel and an adjustable thru-axle, ensures comfort and control on a variety of surfaces. For lighting, the e-bike is fitted with a HERCULES FH 40 LED front light, which delivers up to 40 lux, and a Busch & Müller 2C LED rear light mounted on the luggage rack.

The spec also includes Marwi SP828 aluminium pedals, an FSA CK-220 crankset, a Shimano Deore CS-M4100 11-46T cassette and a KMC X10E drivetrain. The handlebars are a Zecure HD model with a 15° backsweep and 20 mm rise, complemented by ergonomic grips with integrated clamps and an adjustable A-head stem.

The bike rides on Ryde Andra 40 rims fitted with Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres (47-622) featuring SmartGuard puncture protection. The front hub is a Shimano MT400 with a 15 mm thru-axle and the rear hub is a Shimano M3050 with a quick-release, both featuring the Centerlock system. Black stainless steel spokes with a diameter of 2 mm complete the wheelset.

The Selle Bassano SUPREMA City saddle offers comfort for longer rides, mounted on a Zecure HD001 aluminium seatpost. Plastic mudguards from SKS protect against splashes, whilst the Horn Catena 18 chain guard covers the chain. A Pletscher Comp Flex 40 kickstand ensures stability, and an AXA Victory lock secures the bike.

The luggage rack is integrated into the frame and features a spring-loaded flap and a battery compartment. Power is provided by a fourth-generation Bosch Performance CX motor with an output of 250 watts and a torque of 85 Nm. The Bosch Carrier-type battery has a capacity of 500 Wh and is charged using a Bosch 2A charger. The Bosch Intuvia display offers intuitive operation and clear information whilst riding. With a reach of 449 mm and a stack of 690 mm, the E-Imperial 180 S 10 is ideally designed for a comfortable ride.
