Haibike Trekking 9

The "Trekking 9" model from Haibike, released in 2024, is a high-quality e-bike characterised by its robust construction and versatile features. The frame is made of aluminium and features an M12 (1.00) x 148 mm thru-axle and a post-mount disc brake. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 26 kg.

The braking system comprises Shimano MT410 brakes with 180mm aluminium discs and Shimano MT402 brake levers, which ensure reliable braking performance. The gear system consists of a Shimano Deore M5100 11-speed groupset, operated via a Shimano Deore M5100 trigger shifter. The crankset is also made of aluminium and fitted with a 40-tooth chainring, whilst the cassette comprises a Shimano M5100 with 11–51 teeth.

The SR Suntour Mobie 25 LOR Lockout fork, with 100mm of travel and an aluminium steerer tube (1 1/8 – 1 1/2'' tapered), ensures a comfortable ride on a variety of surfaces. The lighting comprises a Haibike Skybeamer 150 front light with 50 lux and an AXA Blueline rear light, both powered by the system battery.

The bike is fitted with VP VPE-461 pedals and features a KMC X11e drivetrain. The handlebars, Haibike Components TheBar ++, are 740mm wide and the grips are XLC Comfort bo3. The stem, Haibike Components TheStem ++, has a bar bore of 31.8 mm and an angle of 12˚. The headset is an A-Head Alloy Tapered model.

The rims are Rodi Tryp 30 hollow-chamber aluminium rims, combined with Continental Contact Cruiser tyres (60-584) and Sapim Leader spokes. Both the front and rear hubs are Shimano MT400-B. The saddle is the Haibike Components TheSaddle model and the seatpost is a Haibike Components TheSeatpost ++, Patent, with a diameter of 34.9 mm, also made of aluminium.

In addition, the bike is fitted with SKS Chromoplastik mudguards, an adjustable Ursus Mooi kickstand and a StandWell KM040 luggage rack. The motor is from Bosch (Performance CX GEN4) and delivers 250W of power with a torque of 85Nm, providing assistance up to a speed of 25km/h. The Bosch PowerTube battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and is controlled via the Bosch Intuvia display. The package also includes the Bosch Standard Charger 4Ah charger.

The price for the Haibike Trekking 9 is 4,399 EUR, which represents excellent value for money given its extensive specification and high-quality components.
