Haibike Trekking 8

The Haibike Trekking 8 from 2024 is a high-quality e-bike that is ideal for long rides and everyday use. Priced at 4,699 EUR, this model offers a wide range of technical features and a robust build. The frame is made of aluminium and is fitted with an M12 (1.00) x 148 mm thru-axle and a post-mount disc brake. The maximum load capacity is 130 kg.

Braking performance is provided by aluminium Shimano MT400 brakes with 180mm discs, complemented by Shimano MT401-3 brake levers. The drivetrain is a Shimano Cues U6000 11-speed system, operated via Rapidfire shifters. The fork is an SR Suntour Mobie 25 LOR Lockout with a steel spring and 100 mm of travel, fitted with an aluminium steerer tube (1 1/8 – 1 1/2'' tapered) and a 15 x 100 mm thru-axle.

The lighting system comprises a Haibike Skybeamer 300 front light with 100 lux and an AXA Juno Ebike rear light, both powered by the system battery. The pedals are VP VPE-461, whilst the crankset is made of steel and fitted with a 38-tooth chainring. The cassette is a Shimano Cues LG400 with a range of 11–50 teeth, and the drivetrain is a Shimano Cues LG500 system.

The handlebars are Haibike Components TheBar ++ with a width of 740mm, and the grips are XLC Comfort bo3. The stem is a Haibike Components The Stem ++ in an A-Head design with a handlebar clamp diameter of 31.8mm. The headset is also an A-Head Tapered model.

The rims are Rodi Tryp 30, eyeleted and made of aluminium, whilst the tyres are Schwalbe Al Grounder Performance (60-584) with reflective strips. The spokes are Sapim Leader, and the hubs are Shimano MT400 at the front and Shimano MT401 at the rear.

The saddle is a Haibike Components TheSaddle, mounted on an aluminium Patent seatpost with a diameter of 34.9 mm. The bike is also fitted with SKS Chromoplastik mudguards, an adjustable Ursus Mooi kickstand and a StandWell System XLC Carrymore luggage rack.

The Trekking 8 is powered by a Bosch Performance CX Smart System motor with an output of 250W and a torque of 85Nm, which provides assistance up to a speed of 25km/h. The battery is a Bosch PowerTube with a capacity of 750 Wh, and the display is a Bosch Kiox 300 with LED Remote. The battery is charged using the Bosch Standard Charger 4Ah.
