GIANT Reign E+ 0

The 2022 GIANT Reign E+ 0 is a state-of-the-art e-mountain bike designed for challenging trails and intense off-road adventures. The price for this model is 7,999 EUR. The frame consists of an AluxX SL main frame with a Maestro rear triangle and Flip-Chip geometry, as well as a carbon swingarm. An integrated speed sensor and compatibility with the EnergyPak Plus battery are also included. The frame offers 160 mm of travel and a 12 x 148 mm axle spacing.

The braking system features SRAM Code RSC four-piston brakes, fitted with 220 mm front and 200 mm rear rotors. The drivetrain is provided by the SRAM XO1 Eagle 12-speed system, which enables precise and reliable gear changes. The shifter is also an SRAM XO1 Eagle model, whilst an MRP 1X HD2 Custom chain guide replaces the front derailleur.

Front suspension is provided by a Fox 38 Float Factory fork with GRIP2 VVC damping and 170 mm of travel, optimised for e-bikes. At the rear is a Fox Float X2 Factory EVOL shock, which has been specially tuned and is fitted in a trunnion mount configuration measuring 205 x 62.5 mm.

The bike is fitted with flat pedals and features a Praxis e-Carbon crankset with a SRAM X-Sync Eagle 36T chainring. The cassette is a SRAM NX Eagle PG-1230 with a range of 11–50T. The drivetrain is completed by a SRAM XO1 Eagle PowerLock system.

The handlebars, a GIANT Contact 35 Trail SL with a 20 mm rise, are 440 mm wide and are fitted with GIANT Tactal single lock-on grips. The stem is a GIANT Contact SL 35 with a length of 120 mm.

The wheels feature GIANT e-TRX carbon rims in sizes 29" at the front and 27.5" at the rear; they are tubeless-ready and have an internal width of 30 mm. The tyres are Maxxis Minion DHF 29 x 2.6" at the front and Maxxis Highroller II 27.5 x 2.5" at the rear; both are tubeless and feature special rubber compounds for optimum grip.

The hubs and spokes are also GIANT e-TRX models. The saddle, a GIANT Romero SL, sits on a GIANT Contact Switch Vario seatpost with different travel lengths depending on frame size (S: 125 mm, M: 150 mm, L/XL: 170 mm).

The Reign E+ 0 is powered by Yamaha’s SyncDrive Pro2 motor, which delivers 85 Nm of torque. The battery has a capacity of 750 Wh and can be charged using the EnergyPak Smart Charger (6A). The bike is compatible with various displays such as the SG Display and RideDash Plus, as well as the RideControl GO+ and RideControl Ergo 3 control units.

The bike’s geometry comprises a reach of 412 mm, a stack of 596 mm, a seat tube length of 560 mm, a top tube length of 600 mm, a head tube angle of 73 degrees and a seat tube angle also of 73 degrees. The head tube is 200 mm long, the chainstay length is 405 mm and the bottom bracket drop is 67 mm. The fork offset is 45 mm, the standover height is 816 mm and the crank length is 175 mm. The bike’s wheelbase is 1020 mm in total.
