GASGAS G Cross Country 2.0

The 2022 "G Cross Country 2.0" model from GASGAS is a versatile and high-performance e-mountain bike which, at a price of 3,199 EUR, represents an attractive option for discerning riders. The bike’s frame is made from a robust aluminium alloy (Alloy 6061) and seamlessly integrates the battery, which not only enhances the bike’s aesthetics but also optimises its centre of gravity. With a maximum permissible weight of 130 kg, the bike offers sufficient load-bearing capacity for both rider and luggage.

Braking performance is provided by Clarks M2 hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear, featuring 2-piston systems, which, in combination with a 180 mm Formula brake disc at the front and a Clarks brake disc at the rear, ensure reliable deceleration. The gear system is provided by a Shimano Alivio RD-M3100 Shadow system with 9 speeds, operated via Shimano Altus SL-M2010 Rapidfire Plus shift levers, enabling precise and rapid gear changes.

The SR SUNTOUR XCM32 NLO suspension fork, with 120 mm of travel and a tapered design, ensures a comfortable ride on uneven terrain. The spec is rounded off by GASGAS aluminium pedals, a forged GASGAS EC40 crankset and a Shimano CS-HG200 cassette with an 11–36T range. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z9 chain.

The bike’s handlebars are GASGAS risers with a width of 720 mm, a 6° sweep and a 15 mm rise, which, together with the GASGAS MTB screw-on grips, ensure comfortable handling. The stem is a GASGAS model with an Ahead design and a 7° angle. The steering system is completed by a R Raymon ZS44/ZS56 headset.

The tyres are Continental Cross King in size 29x2.3, fitted to Mach 1 TRAXX rims. The spokes are made of stainless steel, whilst the hubs are from GASGAS: the front is a DA210F with 15x110 mm and the rear is a DA210R with 12x148 mm in HG standard.

The saddle is a GASGAS MTB model, fitted to a GASGAS seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm. The drive system is powered by a high-performance Yamaha PW-ST motor with 250 W and a torque of 70 Nm. The battery is a Simplo Tube model with a capacity of 630 Wh and a voltage of 36 V, which is charged using a Simplo 4 A fast charger. The Yamaha Display A LCD screen shows all relevant information whilst riding.

The bike’s geometry is designed for balanced riding dynamics, with a reach of 450 mm, a stack of 656 mm, a seat tube length of 500 mm, a top tube length of 638 mm, a head tube angle of 67 degrees, a seat tube angle of 74 degrees, a head tube length of 130 mm, a chainstay length of 475 mm, a bottom bracket drop of 60 mm and a wheelbase of 1220 mm. These features make the G Cross Country 2.0 the ideal companion for off-road adventures.
