GASGAS G Cross Country 1.0

The 2022 "G Cross Country 1.0" model from GASGAS is a versatile e-mountain bike, priced at 2,299 EUR. It is fitted with a robust 27.5-inch 6061 alloy frame, which houses an external battery. The maximum permissible weight is 130 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 21 kg. Reliable braking performance is provided by Clarks M2 hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear, each with 180 mm brake discs.

The gear system consists of a Shimano Altus RD-M310 8-speed rear derailleur, operated via Shimano SL-M315 Rapidfire Plus shift levers. Suspension is provided by an SR SUNTOUR XCT30 fork with 100 mm of travel. The pedals are made of plastic and are from GASGAS, whilst the crankset is made from forged aluminium.

Power is transmitted via a KMC Z8 chain and a Shimano CS-HG200 sprocket with a 12–32-tooth range. The handlebars are GASGAS risers with a diameter of 31.8 mm and a width of 720 mm, fitted with GASGAS MTB screw-on grips. The stem has a 7-degree angle and is also from GASGAS.

The tyres are Mitas Ocelot in size 27.5x2.35, fitted to Mach 1 TRAXX rims, which are tubeless-ready and have eyelets. The hubs are GASGAS DB600F and DB600R, both with quick-release axles and 6-hole mounting.

The saddle is the GASGAS MTB model, fitted to a GASGAS seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm and a length of 350 mm. The bike is powered by a Yamaha PW-CE motor with an output of 250 W and a torque of 50 Nm, powered by a Yamaha DT400 battery with a capacity of 400 Wh. The Yamaha Display A shows the key information on an LCD screen.

Further technical specifications include a reach of 440 mm, a stack of 636 mm, a seat tube length of 500 mm, and head tube and seat tube angles of 69 and 74 degrees respectively. The head tube length is 130 mm, the chainstay length is 465 mm, the bottom bracket drop is 35 mm and the wheelbase is 1176 mm. The charger is a Yamaha fast charger with an output of 4 A. This combination of features and technology makes the “G Cross Country 1.0” an attractive model for off-road use and longer tours.
