Fuji JARI CARBON 1.3

The 2021 "JARI CARBON 1.3" model from the Fuji brand is a versatile gravel bike in the mid-price segment with a price tag of EUR 2,649. The frame is made of C15 ultra high modulus carbon, which ensures high stiffness and low weight. It has a tapered head tube and threaded bottom bracket as well as a 142x12mm thru axle, which ensures stability and precision when riding.

The braking system is equipped with Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brakes, which offer reliable braking performance with 160mm rotors. The shifting system includes the Shimano GRX RX812 drivetrain and is operated via Shimano ST-RX600 GRX Dual Control levers, which enable 1 x 11-speed shifting. The fork is made of C10 carbon with a tapered carbon head tube and a 100x12mm thru axle, which further improves steering precision.

The bottom bracket comes from FSA and is thread-based, while the crankset also comes from FSA Omega with a 40-tooth chainring. The drivetrain is complemented by a KMC X11 chain. The handlebar is an Oval Concepts 325 made of 6061 aluminium, which ensures a comfortable hand position with a 31.8 mm clamp width, 125 mm drop, 25 degree flare and 4 degree sweep. Anti-slip silicone grips provide additional grip.

The stem is an Oval Concepts 313, which can be adjusted at an angle of +/-6 degrees. The headset is from FSA and is integrated, with an upper diameter of 1 1/8" and a lower diameter of 1 1/2". The tyres are WTB Resolute TCS Tubeless Light with a size of 42-622 and foldable design, mounted on an Alex Boondocks GX5 wheelset, which consists of tubeless-compatible aluminium rims and is equipped with 32 spokes per wheel.

The saddle is an Oval Concepts X38 with a pressure relief zone and chromo rails for added comfort. The seat post is made of aluminium and also comes from Oval Concepts, with a diameter of 27.2mm. Overall, the JARI CARBON 1.3 offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and versatility, ideal for demanding gravel tours and adventure rides.
