There are two souls in the chest of the Fuji Jari: as with all bikes, you can tune the handling characteristics towards control or dynamics by playing with the air pressure, but none as here. The massive frame in the Aerolook, which incidentally is not heavy at all, plus the thick handlebars and the chunky tyres give you the feeling of ironing over rough bumps - if the tyre pressure is low. The slightly flared, board-hard handlebars also fit well here.
If you pump up the tyres, the steering becomes much more direct and you can really accelerate with your upper body far forward. Why is this the case with the Fuji Jari? We don't know. A road wheelset would be interesting. Much thicker tyres fit better on the Jari than the 40s, which are not fully suitable for off-road riding. Eye-catchers are the storage device on the top tube and the toolbox under the bottom bracket. There is also more space for large bags and bottles in the frame triangle thanks to its original shape. If the frameset were a little more flexible, you could build a real globetrotter out of it.
With the option of thicker tyres, the top off-road bike for tough conditions. A super-stiff all-rounder with particularly clever storage space solutions.
