Fuji JARI 1.1

The 2021 Fuji JARI 1.1 is a versatile gravel bike, fitted with a range of high-quality components and priced at 2,199 EUR. The frame is made from A6-SL super-butted aluminium and features a tapered head tube and a T47 bottom bracket. The frame is fitted with a 142x12mm thru-axle, which provides additional stability. The fork is a C10 carbon monocoque construction with a tapered carbon steerer tube and a 100x12mm thru-axle, which gives the bike precise handling and a low weight.

The braking system consists of Shimano GRX hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors, which, in combination with the Shimano GRX brake levers, deliver reliable braking performance. The groupset is also from Shimano GRX – specifically the RX810 model, which is renowned for its precise and smooth shifting performance. The shift levers are Shimano GRX ST-RX600 Dual Control, enabling 2x11-speed shifting. The front derailleur is also a Shimano GRX RX810, which completes the groupset.

The JARI 1.1’s drivetrain consists of an FSA Gossamer Pro crankset with a 48/32T configuration and a KMC X11 chain. The bottom bracket is an FSA T47 Internal model, which ensures durability and efficiency. The handlebars are Oval Concepts 325, made from 6061 aluminium, with a 31.8mm clamp, a 125mm drop, a 25-degree flare and a 4-degree sweep, ensuring a comfortable and ergonomic riding position. The grips are made from suede by Oval Concepts 300, offering additional comfort.

The stem is an Oval Concepts 313, made from 3D-forged 6061 aluminium and featuring a +/-6-degree angle. The headset is an integrated FSA model with an upper diameter of 1 1/8 inches and a lower diameter of 1 1/2 inches. The tyres are WTB Resolute TCS Tubeless Light, size 42-622, with a foldable construction that ensures excellent grip and comfort on a variety of surfaces. The wheelset consists of Alex Boondocks GX5 rims, which are tubeless-compatible and feature 32 spokes in a 14/15G pattern.

The saddle is a WTB SL8 with steel rails, which allows for a comfortable riding position. The seatpost is a carbon Oval Concepts 905 with a diameter of 27.2 mm, which reduces the bike’s overall weight and ensures additional riding comfort. Overall, the Fuji JARI 1.1 offers a balanced blend of performance, comfort and versatility, making it an excellent choice for gravel enthusiasts.
