Fuji AMBIENT EVO 29 1.3

The 2021 Fuji AMBIENT EVO 29 1.3 is a high-quality e-mountain bike which, at a price of 3,499 EUR, represents an attractive option for ambitious cyclists. The frame is made from a robust Fuji A6-SL aluminium alloy, which is specifically designed to accommodate a Bosch Power Tube battery with either a 625Wh or 500Wh capacity. The frame also features a cover for the Bosch Gen.4 motor, a tapered head tube and a Boost 148 x 12 mm axle with cold-forged dropouts and a replaceable derailleur hanger.

Braking performance is provided by TRP Slate-T4 and X2 hydraulic disc brakes, with a 4-piston caliper at the front and a 2-piston caliper at the rear, fitted with 203mm brake discs. The brake levers are also TRP Slate-T4 and allow for precise control with a two-finger lever. The gear system is provided by a Shimano Deore groupset, combined with a Shimano Deore shifter to ensure smooth gear changes.

Suspension is provided by the SR Suntour XCR34-Air 29 fork with 120mm travel, a lockout function and a Boost 110 x 15mm thru-axle system. The fork is fitted with a tapered aluminium steerer tube and features 34mm stanchions for added stability. The bike is fitted with robust alloy platform pedals with a chromoly axle.

The drivetrain is complemented by an FSA CK-745/IS crankset with a 32-tooth chainring and chain guard for the Boost system. Power is transmitted via a Shimano HG601-11 chain, designed for an 11-speed system. The handlebars are Oval Concepts 205 flat bars made from 6061 aluminium, which, with a width of 760 mm and a 9-degree sweep, provide a comfortable riding position. The grips are WTB Waffle grips with a dual-density construction and a single-lock-on design.

The stem is made from forged 6061 aluminium with a 7-degree angle and a 31.8 mm clamp. The length varies between 35 mm and 60 mm depending on the frame size. The headset is an FSA NO.57B with ACB bearings, compatible with the tapered head tube.

The bike is fitted with Maxxis Agressor tyres in size 29” x 2.5”, which are foldable, tubeless-ready and feature EXO reinforcement. The wheelsets consist of Shimano MT400-Boost CL hubs and WTB ST i29 TCS 2.0 rims, which are also tubeless-compatible.

The saddle is a WTB High Tail Trail Comp, specially designed for e-bikes, and sits on an Oval Concepts 300 seatpost made from 6061 aluminium with micro-adjustment.

The bike is powered by a fourth-generation Bosch Performance Line CX mid-drive motor with a rated power output of 250W and a torque of 85Nm. The motor provides assistance up to a speed of 25km/h. The battery is a Bosch Power Tube with a capacity of 500 Wh and comes with a 2 A charger. The display is a Bosch Purion, which offers easy operation and an overview of the key riding data.
