Focus Planet² 6.9 ABS

The "Planet² 6.9 ABS" model from Focus, released in 2024, is a versatile e-bike equipped with a range of impressive technical features. The frame is made from 7005 hydroformed aluminium and offers a robust construction with a 148x12 mm thru-axle system. The internal cable routing ensures a clean, tidy appearance, whilst the integrated USB-C port offers additional functionality. The maximum permissible weight is 150 kg, indicating a solid load-bearing capacity.

The braking system comprises Magura MTC ABS hydraulic disc brakes with an anti-lock braking system, fitted with 203 mm brake discs at both the front and rear. These brakes deliver reliable and controlled braking performance in a variety of conditions. The gear system is provided by Shimano Cues components with 11 speeds, enabling precise and smooth gear changes.

The Suntour Mobie34 Air fork, with 100 mm of travel, ensures comfort and control on uneven terrain. For visibility in low-light conditions, the bike is fitted with a Litemove AE130 front light with a high-beam function and a TRELOCK LS421 rear light with a brake light.

The drive is powered by the Bosch Performance CX Smart Motor, delivering 85 Nm of torque and 250 W of power. The motor is powered by a 750 Wh battery, which enables an impressive range. Control is via the Bosch LED Remote + Kiox 300 display, which offers a user-friendly interface.

Other features include an FSA CK-320 aluminium crankset, a Shimano Deore CS-LG400 cassette and a Shimano CN-HG601 drivetrain. The handlebars are 760 mm aluminium flat bars with a 9° backsweep, whilst the stem is 60 mm long and has a 35-degree angle.

The wheels are fitted with RODI TRYP25 rims and Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres in size 2.25, which provide good grip and stability. The hubs are by Novatec, with a D041 hub at the front and a D462 hub at the rear. The saddle is a Selle Royal TCM model, mounted on an aluminium seatpost with a diameter of 31.6 mm.

In addition, the bike offers practical features such as plastic mudguards with edge protection and a Racktime Snap-It luggage rack, which can carry up to 25 kg. The price of the “Planet² 6.9 ABS” is 5,699 EUR, which represents good value for money given its extensive specification and high-quality components.
