Focus JAM² 8.8

The 2023 Focus JAM² 8.8 is a versatile e-mountain bike featuring a combination of high-quality materials and advanced technology. The frame consists of a carbon front triangle and an aluminium rear triangle, which gives the bike both lightness and stability. With F.O.L.D. GEN2 kinematics and 150 mm of rear travel, plus 160 mm at the front courtesy of the FOX 36 Float Rhythm fork, the bike offers excellent suspension performance for challenging trails.

The JAM² 8.8 is fitted with a Bosch Performance CX Smart Motor, which delivers 250 W of power and 85 Nm of torque. The integrated 750 Wh battery ensures an impressive range, whilst the Bosch LED Remote + Kiox 300 display allows for intuitive control of the electric assistance. The Shimano Deore XT M8100 12-speed drivetrain ensures precise gear changes, supported by the Shimano SLX M7100 shifter.

Braking performance is provided by Magura MT5 hydraulic disc brakes, fitted with 203 mm rotors at both the front and rear, ensuring reliable deceleration. The RaceFace AR30 Offset rims, combined with 2.6-inch Maxxis Minion DHR II tyres, offer excellent traction and stability on a wide variety of surfaces.

Comfort and control are ensured by the wide aluminium handlebars, which are 800 mm wide and have a 30 mm rise. The stem is an integrated FOCUS C.I.S. with a length of 50 mm. The Post Moderne Dropper Post allows for easy adjustment of the saddle height whilst riding, whilst the Selle Italia X3 saddle provides additional comfort.

With a maximum load capacity of 150 kg, the JAM² 8.8 is robust enough to accommodate both rider and kit. The bike’s geometry, with a head tube angle of 65 degrees and a seat tube angle of 76 degrees, is designed to offer optimum handling both uphill and downhill.
