Focus JAM² 6.9 DRIFTER

The 2020 Focus JAM² 6.9 Drifter is a versatile e-mountain bike featuring a robust frame made from hydroformed 7005 aluminium. The frame features 150 mm F.O.L.D. kinematics and a 148x12 mm thru-axle, ensuring stability and control. The internal cable routing gives the bike a clean, tidy look. Weighing in at 21 kg, the JAM² 6.9 Drifter offers a balanced combination of performance and handling.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano XT M8120 four-piston brakes, which perform reliably even on challenging terrain. The Marzocchi Bomber Z1 fork, with 150 mm of travel and a 3-position lever, offers excellent damping characteristics. This is complemented by the Fox Float DPS Performance shock, which also features a 3-position lever and can be individually tuned.

The bike’s drive system is based on the Shimano Steps E8000 motor, which, with a maximum torque of 70 Nm and a power output of 250 W, provides assistance up to a speed of 25 km/h. The motor is powered by a 378 Wh battery with a capacity of 10.5 Ah and is controlled via a Shimano Steps E7000 display, which is fitted with a black-and-white LCD and offers Bluetooth connectivity as well as a push assist function.

The bike is fitted with a Shimano SLX M7100 12-speed cassette and a Shimano FC-E8000 crankset, which enable precise gear changes. The RaceFace Chester 35 aluminium handlebars, combined with RaceFace Grippler grips and a RaceFace Aeffect R stem, ensure comfortable and controlled handling. The Kindshock E30i seatpost allows for easy adjustment of the saddle height, whilst the Proxim W350 saddle offers additional comfort.

The tyres consist of Maxxis Minion DHF and DHR+ tyres, which provide excellent grip and traction. The wheelset combines a 29-inch Mavic E-XA Drifter front wheel with a 27.5-inch+ rear wheel, ensuring balanced handling.
