Focus JAM 6.8

The 2021 Focus JAM 6.8 is a versatile mountain bike designed for challenging trails and descents. The frame is made from 7005 hydroformed aluminium and, with F.O.L.D. Gen2 kinematics, offers 150 mm of travel. The bike’s total weight is 16 kg, whilst the maximum rider weight is 110 kg. The internal cable routing and post-mount brake mounts for 180 mm discs contribute to a clean, uncluttered design.

Braking performance is provided by SRAM DB8 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes, fitted with a 200 mm rotor at the front and an 180 mm rotor at the rear. The drivetrain is a 12-speed SRAM NX Eagle system, operated via the SRAM SX Eagle shifter. The drivetrain is completed by the SRAM NX Eagle crankset and the SRAM PG-1210 Eagle cassette.

The RockShox Revelation RC 29 Boost fork, featuring DebonAir technology and 150 mm of travel, combined with the RockShox Deluxe Select rear shock, ensures excellent suspension performance. The 46 mm fork offset contributes to the bike’s stability and precision handling.

The cockpit consists of an 800 mm wide aluminium handlebar with a 30 mm rise and a 9-degree backsweep, combined with a FOCUS C.I.S. integrated stem, which has a length of 50 mm. The wheelset comprises RODI TRYP30 rims fitted with Maxxis Minion DHF tyres, held together by Novatec hubs.

The fi’zi:k Taiga saddle offers comfort on long rides, whilst the Post Moderne dropper post allows for quick adjustment of the seat height. In terms of geometry, the JAM 6.8 offers a balanced riding position with a reach of 480 mm and a stack of 630 mm. The 65-degree head tube angle and 76-degree seat tube angle ensure an aggressive riding position, which is ideal for technical descents. The wheelbase is 1238 mm, which contributes to a stable ride.
