FALTER U 6.0

The "U 6.0" model from FALTER, released in 2024, is a versatile bicycle that offers good value for money at a price of 1,149 euros. The trapezoidal frame ensures a balanced combination of stability and comfort and contributes to a maximum load capacity of 130 kg, whilst the bicycle itself weighs 15 kg.

The U 6.0’s braking system consists of Shimano AMT200 hydraulic disc brakes on both the front and rear wheels. The brake levers are also by Shimano, model BL-MT200, and the brake discs measure 180 mm at the front and 160 mm at the rear, both in a Centre Lock design. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 8-speed hub gear, operated by the Shimano Nexus SL-S503-8 gear lever, which ensures reliable and easy operation.

A rigid aluminium fork, featuring a unicrown design, contributes to the bike’s lightness and robustness. Lighting is provided by a Herrmans MR4 LED front light with 35 LUX and a Herrmans H-Cargo LED rear light with a parking light function. Power is generated by a Shimano DH-3D37 CL Disc QR hub dynamo, which also forms the front wheel hub.

Other features of the U 6.0 include Marwi SP-823 pedals, a MATRIX bottom bracket and a MATRIX PI 242A-4 crankset with 42 teeth and a length of 170 mm. Power is transmitted via a KMC Z-610EPT chain. The handlebars are MATRIX HB-RB11, 620 mm wide, fitted with MATRIX VLG-649D2 grips. The stem is a MATRIX AS-601, 105 mm long with a 15-degree angle.

The rims are made of aluminium with a hollow-chamber profile, and the tyres are Schwalbe Marathon Supreme Reflex in size 42-622, which ensure good grip and puncture resistance. The saddle is a Selle Royal Essenza Plus Moderate, mounted on a MATRIX seatpost measuring 27.2 mm x 350 mm.

The bike is also fitted with SKS A51 PET mudguards, an integrated chain guard and an Ursus Mooi KSA 40 mm rear stand. The Atran Velo Tour Pro luggage rack features a spring-loaded flap and an integrated rear light.

The bike’s geometry is thoughtfully designed, with a reach of 418 mm, a stack of 599 mm and a top tube length of 604 mm. The head tube angle is 71 degrees and the seat tube angle is 73 degrees. Other dimensions include a bottom bracket drop of 60 mm, a fork offset of 40 mm, a top tube height of 579 mm, a fork installation height of 415 mm and a bottom bracket height of 295 mm. The wheelbase measures 1095 mm in total. These specifications make the FALTER U 6.0 a well-balanced bike for everyday use and longer rides.
