FALTER FX 421 PRO Trapez anthracite/pink, glossy

The "FX 421 PRO Trapez anthracite/pink, glossy" model from FALTER, released in 2022, is a versatile bicycle priced at 499 EUR, which impresses with both its technical specifications and its design. The 6061 aluminium frame ensures a robust yet lightweight construction, complemented by rigid Unicrown forks made from Hi-Ten steel.

The braking system consists of aluminium V-brakes, which, together with the 2.5-finger brake levers – also made of aluminium – ensure reliable braking performance. The drivetrain is fitted with a Shimano Tourney RD-TY500 rear derailleur, offering 21 gears and operated via Shimano Tourney SL-RS45 shift levers. The front derailleur is a Shimano Tourney FD-TY300, which ensures precise gear changes.

For lighting, the bike is fitted with a MATRIX LED front light, which provides a light output of 20 LUX, and a MATRIX LED rear light with a parking light function. Power is supplied by a Shimano DH-C30003 hub dynamo with an output of 3 watts.

The bike is fitted with VP-809 children’s pedals, a square-taper bottom bracket and a MATRIX crankset featuring 24/34/42 teeth and a length of 152 mm. The cassette is a Shimano 7-speed with 14–28 teeth, whilst the chain is a KMC model Z-51.

The ergonomically shaped aluminium children’s handlebars from MATRIX, together with the Herrmans 89 children’s grips, ensure comfortable handling. The stem and seat post are also made of aluminium, which helps to reduce weight. The rims are made of aluminium with 36 holes and are fitted with Schwalbe Road Cruiser tyres in size 47-507, which feature reflective strips.

The front hub is fitted with a Shimano hub dynamo and the rear with a MATRIX 7-speed aluminium hub. The spokes are black-galvanised. The saddle is a MATRIX Kids model, mounted on a patented aluminium seat post.

Additional features such as MATRIX plastic mudguards, an integrated chain guard, an aluminium centre-mounted kickstand and a steel-tube luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap round off the model and make it a practical companion for everyday use.
