FALTER FX 407 ND

The FX 407 ND model from FALTER, released in 2024, is a well-designed bicycle for young riders. Priced at 599 EUR, it offers solid specifications and an attractive design. The bike’s frame features a wave-shaped design, making it easy to mount. The maximum load capacity is 60 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 15 kg.

The braking system consists of aluminium V-brakes at both the front and rear, operated by 2.5-finger brake levers, also made of aluminium. The gear system is from Shimano and consists of a Nexus 7-speed hub gear, controlled via a Shimano SL-C3000-7 gear lever. This allows for simple and reliable gear selection. The Unicrown Hi-Ten rigid fork complements the bike’s robust construction.

Lighting is provided by a MATRIX LED front light with 20 LUX and a MATRIX LED rear light with a parking light function. Both lights are powered by a Shimano DH-C30003 hub dynamo with an output of 3 watts, ensuring a constant power supply. The pedals are specifically designed as VP-809 children’s pedals to meet the needs of young riders.

The drivetrain consists of a KMC Z6 chain set, a MATRIX crankset with 38 teeth and a length of 152 mm, and a 19-tooth sprocket. The ergonomically shaped MATRIX children’s handlebars, made of aluminium, and the Herrmans 89 children’s grips contribute to the bike’s comfortable handling. The stem is also made of aluminium and, together with the MATRIX headset, ensures stable steering.

The hollow-section aluminium rims are fitted with 32 spokes and feature MATRIX More Miles 1 Reflex tyres in size 47-507 at both the front and rear. The saddle is a specially developed MATRIX Kids model, mounted on a patented aluminium seat post. Plastic mudguards and a chain guard provide additional protection against dirt and wet conditions.

A sturdy aluminium centre stand allows the bike to be parked securely, whilst the tubular steel luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap provides additional storage space. All in all, the FALTER FX 407 ND is a well-designed and functional bike that is ideal for young riders who value quality and reliability.
