FALTER FX 403 ND

The "FX 403 ND" model from FALTER, released in 2024, is a versatile bicycle featuring a trapezoidal frame and a maximum permissible weight of 60 kg. Weighing 14 kg, it offers a robust yet manoeuvrable option for young cyclists. The price for this model is 529 EUR.

The brakes are aluminium V-brakes at both the front and rear, whilst the brake levers are also made of aluminium and feature a 2.5-finger design. The gear system is a Shimano Nexus 3-speed, operated via the Shimano Nexus SL-3S41 gear lever. The rigid Unicrown Hi-Ten fork ensures stability and durability.

For lighting, the bike is fitted with a MATRIX LED front light with 20 lux and a MATRIX LED rear light with a parking light function, powered by a Shimano DH-C30003 hub dynamo with 3 watts of power. The pedals are VP-809 children’s pedals, specially designed for smaller feet.

The drivetrain features a square-taper bottom bracket and a MATRIX crankset with 38 teeth and a length of 152 mm, complemented by a 19-tooth sprocket and the KMC Z6 chain. The ergonomically shaped MATRIX children’s handlebars and Herrmans 89 children’s grips ensure comfortable handling.

The stem is made of aluminium, whilst the headset is a MATRIX 1 1/8-inch model. The rims are made of hollow-chamber aluminium with 32 holes at both the front and rear, fitted with MATRIX More Miles 1 Reflex tyres in size 47-507.

The front hub features a Shimano hub dynamo, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub gear with a coaster brake. The spokes are made of stainless steel. The saddle is a MATRIX Kids model, mounted on a steel seat post.

To protect against dirt, the bike features MATRIX plastic mudguards and a MATRIX plastic chain guard. The aluminium centre-mounted kickstand and the steel-tube luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap round off the features and offer practical solutions for everyday use.
