FALTER FX 203 ND

The "FX 203 ND" model from FALTER, released in 2024, is a reliable and functional children’s bike that offers good value for money at a price of 499 EUR. The frame has a wave-shaped design and contributes to a maximum load capacity of 60 kg, whilst the bike itself weighs 12 kg. The braking system consists of aluminium V-brakes at both the front and rear, operated by 2.5-finger brake levers, also made of aluminium. Gear changes are handled by a Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub gear system, controlled via the Shimano Nexus SL-3S41 gear lever.

The bike is fitted with a rigid Unicrown Hi-Ten fork and features a MATRIX LED front light with 20 lux and a MATRIX LED rear light with a parking light function, both powered by a 3-watt Shimano DH-C30003 hub dynamo. The pedals are VP-260 children’s pedals. The drivetrain comprises a square-taper bottom bracket, a MATRIX crankset with 38 teeth and a length of 127 mm, and a 19-tooth sprocket, with a KMC Z6 chain.

The ergonomically shaped MATRIX children’s handlebars and Herrmans 89 children’s grips ensure comfortable handling. The stem is made of aluminium and the headset is a MATRIX 1 1/8-inch model. The rims are hollow-section aluminium with 28 holes at both the front and rear, fitted with MATRIX More Miles 1 Reflex tyres in size 47-406. The front hub is a Shimano dynamo hub and the rear hub is a Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub with a coaster brake.

The MATRIX Kids saddle is fitted together with a steel seat post. The mudguards and chain guard are made from MATRIX plastic, whilst an aluminium centre-mounted kickstand ensures the bike stands securely. A steel tubular luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap rounds off the features of the FX 203 ND, making it a practical companion for young cyclists.
