FALTER FX 203

The "FX 203" model from FALTER, released in 2024, is a robust and functional bicycle designed specifically for children. Priced at 449 EUR, it offers a balanced combination of quality and functionality. The wave-shaped frame not only gives the bike stability but also an attractive appearance. With a maximum load capacity of 60 kg and a kerb weight of 12 kg, the FX 203 is a lightweight yet sturdy bike.

The FX 203 is fitted with aluminium V-brakes at both the front and rear, ensuring reliable braking performance. The aluminium brake levers feature a 2.5-finger design, allowing for easy and safe operation. The gearing is provided by a Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub gear system, operated via the Shimano Nexus SL-3S41 gear lever. This system offers three gears, ensuring a comfortable ride. The Unicrown Hi-Ten rigid fork further enhances the bike’s stability.

Lighting is provided by a MATRIX LED front light with a brightness of 20 LUX and a MATRIX LED rear light with a parking light function, both powered by a side-mounted dynamo. The VP-260 pedals are specially designed for children. The drivetrain consists of a MATRIX 38-tooth crankset and a 19-tooth sprocket, connected by a KMC Z6 chain.

The ergonomically shaped MATRIX children’s handlebars and Herrmans 89 children’s grips offer comfort and control, whilst the MATRIX aluminium stem and the MATRIX 1 1/8-inch headset ensure stability. The aluminium rims, with 28 holes at the front and rear, are fitted with MATRIX More Miles 1 Reflex tyres in size 47-406, which ensure good traction and safety.

The front hub is made of aluminium by MATRIX, whilst the rear is fitted with a Shimano Nexus 3-speed hub gear with a coaster brake. Stainless steel spokes provide additional strength. The MATRIX Kids saddle ensures comfort, whilst the steel seat post provides stability. MATRIX plastic mudguards protect against dirt and splashes, whilst the MATRIX plastic chain guard covers the chain.

A centre-mounted aluminium kickstand makes it easy to park the bike, and the tubular steel luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap offers additional carrying capacity. Overall, the FALTER FX 203 is a well-equipped children’s bike that impresses in terms of both safety and comfort.
