FALTER FX 100

The "FX 100" model from FALTER, released in 2021, is a children’s bike that impresses with its robust construction and child-friendly features. Priced at 219 EUR, it offers excellent value for money. The bike’s frame is made from 6061 aluminium, ensuring a sturdy yet lightweight construction. The bike’s total weight is just 7 kg, whilst the maximum load capacity is 40 kg, providing ample load-bearing capacity.

The FX 100’s brakes are aluminium V-brakes which, combined with child-friendly plastic brake levers, ensure safe and easy operation. The bike has a single gear, which makes it easier for children to handle. The rigid fork is a unicrown fork made from Hi-Ten steel, which provides additional stability. The pedals are specially designed for children and offer a secure grip.

The bike’s drivetrain consists of a KMC chain drive, a MATRIX crankset with 32 teeth and a length of 89 mm, and a 16-tooth sprocket. The handlebars, also from MATRIX, are ergonomically shaped and specially adapted to children’s hands, as are the ergonomic grips. The stem features impact protection to prevent injuries.

The FX 100 is fitted with aluminium rims and MATRIX More Miles 1 tyres (47-203), which ensure good grip. The front hub is made of aluminium, whilst the rear hub is fitted with a coaster brake. Galvanised spokes contribute to the bike’s durability. The saddle is a special MATRIX model for children and is held in place by a steel seat post.

Practical features such as painted mudguards, a plastic chain guard and a sturdy steel-tube luggage rack with a spring-loaded flap round off the bike. The included training wheels provide additional safety by helping children to maintain their balance whilst riding. All in all, the FALTER FX 100 is a well-designed and reliable children’s bike that offers both safety and riding enjoyment.
