FALTER E 9.0 URBAN

The "E 9.0 URBAN" model from FALTER, launched in 2020, is an urban e-bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and modern design. The frame is made from 6061 aluminium, giving the bike a robust yet lightweight structure. With a total weight of 18 kg, it is relatively light for an e-bike and therefore ideally suited to urban use.

The E 9.0 URBAN’s braking system is based on Shimano AMT200 hydraulic disc brakes, which, in combination with the Shimano BL-MT200 brake levers, ensure reliable and precise braking performance. The gear system is a Shimano Deore RD-M610, a 9-speed derailleur operated by the Shimano Oldus shifter. This combination enables smooth and efficient gear changes.

The aluminium Unicrown rigid fork provides additional stability and control. For road safety, the Herrmans MR GO LED front light and the Herrmans H-Trace rear light are fitted, ensuring good visibility. The Marwi SP-823 pedals provide a secure grip whilst riding.

Power is provided by a Bafang rear-wheel motor with an integrated battery capacity of 252 Wh, which works in conjunction with a Bafang bottom bracket featuring a torque sensor. The crankset consists of a Lasco aluminium crankset with 42 teeth and a length of 170 mm, whilst the cassette is a Shimano HG-400 9-speed with 11–36 teeth. Power is transmitted via a KMC e9 Turbo EPT chain.

The bike’s cockpit comprises a Matrix AL-320BT handlebar, 640 mm wide with a 9-degree bend, fitted with Matrix VLG-1777D2 ergonomic grips, and a Promax DA-250 stem. The headset is a semi-integrated model from FSA.

The rims are made from hollow-chamber aluminium with stainless steel eyelets, combined with Schwalbe Marathon Supreme tyres in size 40-622 with reflective strips for improved visibility. The front hub is a Shimano Tourney and the rear hub is the Bafang motor, complemented by black stainless steel spokes.

The saddle is the Matrix VL-3135 model, mounted on a Matrix SP-DC1 seatpost measuring 31.6 mm x 300 mm. Additional features include SKS mudguards, a Massload CL-KA100 rear stand and a Racktime Light-it luggage rack.

This model offers a balanced combination of performance, comfort and safety at a price of 2199 EUR, making it an attractive option for urban cyclists.
