Electra Loft Go! 7D EQ Step-Thru

The “Loft Go! 7D EQ Step-Thru” model from Electra, launched in 2024, is a versatile and stylish e-bike that stands out for its well-thought-out features and robust construction. The frame is made from 6061-T6 aluminium, which not only gives the bike stability but also keeps its total weight down to 21 kg. The maximum load capacity is 136 kg, meaning it can accommodate a wide range of riders and their luggage.

The mechanical disc brakes with 160 mm rotors, both front and rear, ensure reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. The Shimano Tourney Revo 7-speed twist shifter with an optical gear indicator offers simple and precise gear changes. The Hi-Ten steel unicrown fork with straight/tapered stanchions complements the bike’s robust construction.

For visibility and safety, the Loft Go! 7D EQ Step-Thru is fitted with a Spanninga LED lighting system and a Herrmans H-Black MR4-E headlamp, which delivers 120 lumens and 40 lux. The aluminium platform pedals with non-slip rubber pads provide a secure grip whilst riding. The forged aluminium crankset, featuring a 44-tooth chainring and chain guard, ensures efficient power transfer, supported by a torque sensor.

Power is transmitted via a KMC Z7 chain, designed for a 7-speed cassette, whilst a 14–34-tooth cassette offers a good range of gear ratios. The aluminium handlebars, with a custom bend and a width of 640 mm, and the hand-stitched Electra Custom grips contribute to comfort. The cast aluminium stem with a 92 mm reach and the threaded steel headset complete the steering components.

The bike is fitted with 700 x 40C city tyres, which offer a comfortable ride on both urban roads and uneven paths. The retro faux-leather saddle with two springs provides additional comfort. The aluminium seatpost with Micro Adjust allows for individual adjustment of the seat height.

Other features include extruded, painted aluminium mudguards, a rear-mounted aluminium kickstand and a battery integrated into the down tube with a capacity of 252 Wh, which is compatible with a range extender. The charger has an output of 2 A and supports an input voltage of 100 V to 240 V AC.

The Loft Go! 7D EQ Step-Thru is available at a price of €1,999 and offers a balanced blend of functionality, style and comfort, ideal for everyday use in the city or leisurely trips into the countryside.
