Electra Loft Go! 5i EQ Step-Thru 500 Wh

The "Loft Go! 5i EQ Step-Thru 500 Wh" model from Electra, launched in 2024, is a versatile e-bike which, at a price of EUR 2,799, represents an attractive option in the e-bike market. The frame is made from high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium, which not only ensures robustness but also reduces the bike’s total weight to 24 kg. The maximum rider weight is 136 kg, making it suitable for a wide range of riders and uses.

Safety is ensured by a combination of Tektro hydraulic disc brakes at both the front and rear, fitted with 180 mm and 160 mm Shimano RT10 Centre Lock disc mounts respectively. These brakes offer reliable braking performance in a variety of conditions. Gear changes are facilitated by a Shimano Nexus 5-speed twist shifter with an optical gear indicator, allowing for simple and precise gear selection.

The fork is a unicrown fork made from high-tensile steel with tapered stanchions, ensuring stability and comfort. Lighting is provided by a Spanninga LED light system at the front and rear, ensuring good visibility in low-light conditions. The aluminium platform pedals with non-slip rubber pads offer a secure grip, whilst the forged aluminium crankset with Bosch system ensures efficient power transfer.

Power is transmitted via a nickel-plated KMC Z1EHX EPT chain, combined with a Shimano 30-tooth sprocket. The handlebars are Electra low-rise aluminium handlebars with a custom bend, complemented by hand-stitched Electra Custom grips for added comfort. The stem is made of forged aluminium, whilst the headset is a threadless steel model.

The tyres are Schwalbe Fat Frank 28” x 2.0” balloon tyres with Kevlar®Guard puncture protection and reflective strips, fitted to 28” aluminium dual-chamber rims. The saddle is a retro faux-leather saddle with two springs, mounted on an aluminium seatpost with Micro Adjust.

For added comfort and functionality, the bike features painted aluminium mudguards, a sturdy two-leg kickstand from Hebie and a MIK-compatible luggage rack. Power is provided by a Bosch Active Line Plus motor with 250 watts and a torque of 50 Nm, which assists up to speeds of 25 km/h. The Bosch PowerPack Performance 500 battery is mounted on the down tube and offers a capacity of 500 Wh. The Bosch Purion display allows for easy control and shows the most important information.
