Cube Kathmandu Pro desert´n´grey

The "Kathmandu Pro desert'n'grey" model from Cube, released in 2022, is a versatile trekking bike available at a price of 1,099 EUR. The frame is made from Superlite aluminium and features Trekking Comfort geometry. With IC 3.0 technology and a double-butted construction, the frame offers a balanced combination of lightness and stability.

Braking performance is provided by Shimano BR-MT200/UR300 hydraulic disc brakes with 160 mm discs at both the front and rear. Gear shifting is handled by a Shimano XT RD-T8000 rear derailleur with 10 speeds, controlled by Shimano Deore SL-M6000 Rapidfire-Plus shift levers. The front derailleur is a Shimano Deore FD-T6000, which is fitted with a Top-Swing mechanism and a 31.8 mm clamp.

The SR Suntour NCX D LO Air fork, with 63 mm of travel and a lockout function, ensures a comfortable ride even on uneven terrain. The lighting comprises a CUBE Shiny 50 front light and an ACID Mudguard Rear Light PRO-D rear light, which is powered by 6V AC.

The drivetrain features a Shimano FC-T551 crankset with Hollowtech II technology, fitted with three chainrings (48x36x26T) and a chain length of 175 mm. The cassette is a Shimano CS-HG500 with a 11-34T range, and the chain is a KMC X10.

The handlebars are CUBE Comfort Trail Bars with a width of 660 mm, complemented by Natural Fit Comfort grips. The stem is a CUBE Performance Stem Pro with a diameter of 31.8 mm. The headset is a VP Integrated model, 1 1/8" at the top and 1 1/2" at the bottom.

The rims are CUBE ZX20 with 32 spokes and disc brake mounts. The tyres are Schwalbe Range Cruiser in size 47-622, fitted with Active K-Guard puncture protection. The front hub is a Shimano DH-3D37 hub dynamo with a quick-release skewer and Centre Lock mount, whilst the rear hub is a Shimano FH-MT400 model with a 12 mm axle and Centre Lock mount.

The saddle is a Natural Fit Sequence Comfort model, mounted on a CUBE Performance seatpost with a diameter of 27.2 mm. The saddle is secured using a CUBE Screwlock clamp with a diameter of 31.8 mm.

The bike is also fitted with ACID 56 mudguards, an ACID Pro Flat Mount kickstand and a CUBE Integrated Carrier 3.0 luggage rack, which is compatible with the ACID RILink adapter. The pedals are ACID PP Trekking models, which provide additional comfort and safety.
